Today I went to see an under 21 game between Sheffield United and Derby County in the in the Professional Development League 2 (North): 1pm kick off; wet; foggy; cold; horrible. Free entry; tea £1. Derby won 1-0; scrappy. The United coach admitted it was all pretty dreadful.
United play some of their games at Bramall Lane. Today’s was at their Football Academy in the north of the city at Shirecliffe. Good grief, I thought that was Wednesday territory:
