Bearing in mind the signings already made, I think he's missed the boat. Not so sure that he represents the improvement in quality the manager is clearly trying to achieve anyway. Weymouth maybe?

I tend to agree with you alan, too late for tufc. Weymouth is a good shout. Even city I think he would do a job? Hey Alan Do you remember that time he stopped running with a goal scoring opportunity when the player was injured? I think I may have just poked a snake with a stick

Sometimes players blossom when they are played away from a position they have been rather mediocre at - Colin Lee was a case in point when he came to us as a fullback from Bristol City and we played him as a striker. Perversely, Spurs later "converted" him into a full back (but we knew better didn't we) as he'd lost a little pace. I'd say (having also watched McPhee at Wembley and on TV) that he's still in the mediocre class as a striker, but the competent and reliable class as a defender/midfielder.

I would have to say, based only on two games mind, that I saw him play for Fleet, I would welcome him back.
Not as a forward but playing the role he played for Fleet, the one position we struggled to really cover all of last season. He can play and pass well, so maybe as I believe our style will change for the coming season, he would fit in well.

Apologies alan Of course it was connell. I knew it was st andrews because I can still see it happening.

Mcphee seems to have benefited from a regular starting place at Ebbsfleet, but on the basis of what I saw at Wembley I don't think he would get anywhere near the starting line up here so it would be a pointless signing. Its not going to happen either.
