Has there been any news about our stewards, I really hope the club do not renew the contract of the ones we have. I always hoped we would go back to the days, when we did it in house. At least we know the stewards and never had any problems with them.

I seem to remember Mr Richardson miss quoting the tust at the forum a year or so back about them taking it over. I would love to see it in house but I can't see who would do it? That said I hope we have a different company this year instead of the rent a thugs. Maybe I will see things in a different light after I have spent 6 days stewarding at glastonbury though!

In deed you might, don't forget your wheelie boots Jamie,
I believe we should do it in house, our stewards before did the job OK and we knew many of them. Yes we never had enough, but I had hoped the tust could somehow provide the people to do it.

I don't think there will be any stewarding changes next season Dave! Is there any reason you say that? even little old me has had run -ins with our stewards. You would think that the club was well aware, of the problems some of them have caused. While I understand the problems setting up new steward arrangements, I would have though that making Plainmoor even a more welcoming place, had to be also as important as other changes being made.

Well, the guy I know says the club have no problems with the current steward setup...it's only a few fans! He also reckons that it is now so costly to train stewards up to the standards required only a few specialized firms do it to requirements now.
To actually get enough 'in-house' volunteers to watch the crowds and not the match etc etc would just not be feasible if you include the costs to train all of them.
