The club will be happy that the game is off as it would have had a gate of 1000 or so. They probably think that next tues may be better gate wise.......wrong! Poland vs England on tuesday....surely someone could have checked that out. With Yeovil being local too could have played next mon or wed to miss the England game. God help uis if its raining next tues......a sub 1000 gate on the cards

I was talking to a few Yeovil fans in Yeovil this morning who had a little go about the fact the game did not go ahead on Tuesday night. Usual sort of thing about small club who can't get a game on due to a bit of rain. I did ask if it was the case that Yeovil have never canceled a game due to the pitch being unfit to play on. Well I was then told there was game when the club called the game off due a frozen pitch. But one of them then went on to tell me that could not have been frozen because he checked his garden and it was fit to play football on, now where have I heard that said before yes I remember it was me. We talked on about other things football related and then one of them said Yeovil should charge the fans £10 to get in instead of the £16 it costs now. I have not checked if that price is correct, but his argument was that it was better to charge that and get 9000 fans in than what they are getting right now. Once again I have not checked any facts, but he claimed against Colchester at home, just over 3000 were at the game. I thought Yeovil were getting much higher games than that and if what he said was correct, has the Yeovil bubble burst?

Usual sort of thing about small club who can't get a game on due to a bit of rain. We certainly had some rain this week. Still not just our corner of Devon that can't cope.... www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-19913483

Right then. Charge a tenner and there 'd be gates of 9,000 at Yeovil. Every game?
Hmm.....

Bump: Just noticed that the reserve game at home to Exeter is scheduled for 2p.m. on this day - is it canceled? As for the line up, we have got a local derbyish game at Bristol on Saturday and then welcome Gillingham next Tuesday so Ling will probably want to rest up to 5 players. In front of defence, Manse, Rene and Bodin have been involved in virtually every game so Ling may want to look at resting some or all of them. In defence, I think Cruise will definitely start with Rice and Leadbitter possibly pushing to be included.

i would go tonight but i am afraid they would announce the england v poland score. i would record the international and relax that some muppet would possibly say the score of the england game. cant stand watching recorded matches if i know the score, particulary if its 0-0.

phipsy I'm much the same phipsy. Although not everyone grasps the importance of this. I remember being particularly exasperated when coming home to watch one televised game only to be told "OK, I won't tell you the score.....but you won't see any goals"
