i did hear there were off field problems at hull today,no surprise there then, evans and raynor respect nobody and are vile little creatures, shame for crawley fc its not the club itself but them. But while these dickheads run the show, crawley fc will gain no respect at all These two dickheads are still in the FA Cup and earnt over a million pounds for Crawley last season in said competition and will do the same this season... No, no, no. They have bought their success. And the suggestion that any Gull would welcome Raynor to our Club is an awful one. Winning ugly. Time to win pretty in February against some tough opposition.

"We are staying up"..... As many of you have said, this is the ugly time of the season. Pts mean everything and performance nothing. You know, the size of our squad does not bother me at all. Although he has only been with us a while, i have every faith in ML to "sort it". With his contacts I`m sure he can find a replacement on loan to cover any losses/injuries. But hopefully no one is going. Players come & go, that is the nature of competitive sport. i just have this feeling that 1 or possibly even 2 of the current top 3 are going to fall back into the play offs. Question is who will take their place? When the L2 line up was finalised, i felt this was going to be a memorable season. Derbies, "big clubs" & big spenders. So it has proved so far. Well done to all connected with Utd. milber

well adies and gents, another 3 points secured for our promotion push,ok maybe sounding a bit presumptious, but hey why not, what amazes all of us the size and limited funds at our club, and look where we are in the league, the teams we play in the next few weeks wont relish it at all.....simon......oh was at kc today what a complete prick evans and his team are hope you can watch it on the highlights progamme. I feel for you - we all know what it is like to lose to Crawley in the FA Cup!

Thanks for your thoughts on the match today Gentlemen. I find it quite hard to report on events as again there weren't too many incidents to recall. The first half, Northampton had the better of but really were reduced to long range shots which Bobby made look very regulation! We certainly stepped it up in the second with a lot more possession and threat. The goal came from a corner which was won following a Nico free kick with Robertson close to scoring from close range but being blocked. Really nice header from Ellis hit from just past the far post at an angle as he was no more than a metre out. I am just waiting for Danny to score the same type of goal. ;D

oh was at kc today what a complete prick evans and his team are hope you can watch it on the highlights progamme. Their antics won't win them many friends, but reaching the 5th round of FA Cup and winning back to back promotions in consecutive seasons would be a phenomenal achievement, whatever their relative resources. Crawley Town may have pissed us off as Gulls fans, but they're a great resource to have in the bookies

Another good 3 points today, another win without being at our fluent best. I thought Stevens was outstanding, looked dangerous for most of the game. For me, Howe didn't look fit or that interested today, but maybe I'm being harsh?! If Bodin doesn't return then I think we definitely need another attacking option bought in. Hopefully Howe will return to his pre suspension finishing form. Anyway onwards and upwards. I was also trying to work out whether Robbo had the look of a man leaving as he departed the field after the game...I couldn't tell!!!!

As far as I can see, the Crawley fans are delighted to have Evans and Rayner running the show, and all the dodgy money appearing from nowhere. I don't think I've come across a Crawley fan who is bothered by them being there. So as far as I'm concerned, they're just as bad as Rushden or MKD - the whole club, not just the blokes in charge

It would be very sad if he leaves as Robbo came in when we were on our way down to the conference and has played an integral part in our transformation to a good league 2 side challenging at the right end of the table. My gut feeling is he will stay as he is in a settled team that is doing well but who knows after the madness of the transfer window deadline that we all have to look forward to on Tuesday!!!!

On the note of Crawley, its a year ago where I and most had the most depressing weekend ever and the tuesday after didnt help either. I will always remember the moment they where picked out the pot to play Man utd at OT, it was a horrible feeling. But hey F@@k crawley this is about this season and its absolutely incredible if not a dream what we are experiencing as a Torquay fan at the moment. Yes we can moan about playing sluggish, but we are winning and not conceding late goals which we did have a habit off over the previous 2 seasons. Unlike last season we dont seem to be hitting the woodwork as much as well, well if we are ML isnt bemoaning the fact.. Lets face facts we are on 50 points in Jan, that is astonishing and even if we win 1 and lose 2 of our remaining games we will still equal last seasons points tally we are surely heading to the playoffs but then again this is Torquay anything can happen as we dont do mid table at this club

Thanks for your thoughts and views and how pleasing it is to see the team beat those teams lower down the table as it has been so often the case in the past, these sort of fixtures we always seemed to lose. So it sounded like it was an ugly win and maybe not the best game to watch, but three points is three points and our team sure is doing so very well right now.
I once argued on here about football being played the way is was meant to be played, I just had in my head that there was some sort of pure game that could be played that would be wonderful to watch and so entertaining. While I still think that to a degree, the bottom line is its all about getting a win as its points on the board that will decide if a team may go up or even down for that matter.
It was a good gate yesterday and that is pleasing to see as some floaters who I’m sure were watching in the wings so to speak the good run the team is on, wanted to see for themselves how well the team is playing. I’m not sure if all people who go to a game of football decide to go again based on if the team won or not, I do believe there will always be a number who make their minds up based on the quality of the football on show. It will be interesting to see the size of the next home gate, It is has always been felt by so many that our club does not get the support it deserves and I do not think that is about the change.
As some may know, what money I have had spare I have spent redecorating the whole house from top to bottom and while I’m now working on the very last room, I think I may have to wait until we lose a few games before I ever go and watch the team play again. That’s only as I’m sure some may blame my return if the team lost much like the time I watched a few games from the main stand enclosure that were all won and it was joked on here I was not welcome back on the popside as if I did and the team lost, it would have been my fault lol.
So why is the team doing so well right now? From where I’m sitting I think is down to the fact we now have a very good manager who can get the best out of the players he has at his disposal. I’m sure his man management skills are first class and the dressing room is a far happier place under him that it ever was under Paul Buckle. If Buckle was still here he would have been looking to get rid of half the team during this transfer window and bring in a number of loan players. I think for the first time for a while at our club, we are going to see a very large number of the players, who started the season, go on and finish the season and for me that is a refreshing change from the mass wholesale changes we always saw under Buckle.
I was not sorry to see Buckle sacked up at Rovers and I don’t think it will do him any harm in the long run to be brought back down to earth. Will he get offered a job as manager for another league club? Not sure he will and if he wants to stay in football management, he may have to start all over again at a non league club. I’m not sure if his ego would allow that to happen and while I think on refection he was a fool to leave our club where his job was reasonably secure for a job at a club where he had to get success and quickly, I do feel we are were we are in the table because we now have a much better manager than Buckle could ever be.
Keep it up lads and one day soon I hope to come and give you my support in person, but as I said I may have to wait until a few games are lost and if it means me staying away and games being won rather than lost, then I’ll keep away.
