Although this is our second reserve match, it is the first one actually in the southern section of the combination league this year. With the first three fixtures being away, it is a somewhat tough start, although if the results of the first team are anything to go by, then maybe it is easier this way! ;D Possibly beyond the call of duty for most fans to attend this but if a member does go, then your thoughts would be very gratefully received. Players that did not start on Saturday and possible looking to impress are Rice, LRT, Ellis, Morris, Leadbitter, Macklin, Halpin, Stevens, Atieno, Yeoman and Spear! For me, the main player to watch is Leadbitter and if he can not only get through ninety minutes but look in good form as well, then a first team start could beckon. Of interest, will be to see how he links up with Macklin on the right, (if he starts), as in theory, they could potentially form quite a pacey and potent partnership! If started on the left, Morris is going to have to put in one heck of a display to shift Bodin, possibly up front as I think he is guaranteed a start while here with us but Halpin should perhaps continue his development here. I quite like LRT as a player but have happily been proved wrong that he should have started at the beginning of the season but he remains useful back up. It was a successful reserve campaign last year but the worth of this competition is so much more with it having a positive impact on the squad as a whole.

Thanks for that Joe but my "sauce" is the football combination league website so should be fairly accurate. If we have swapped around that would explain the three opening away fixtures! Ditmar - Thanks for that, I knew that I read somewhere he was quick. To be fair, I did say "in theory" and "potentially." Aussie - surely Atieno should be added to that trio or has he had an accident with a fork following that conversion on Saturday!

Ahright ok. On the TUFC website it still has it as a home fixture on the reserve page of the site. The reserve page needs to be updated. It could cause problems, I might have gone tomorrow, if Rob hadn't of posted that.

according to the bournemouth o/s they are putting out mainly triallists and youth team for this one The Herald reports that a strong Torquay side is being put out although Morris and Atieno having got lots of first team action won't be there. McKenzie at centre half and Kudi in midfield are the two youngsters starting with the other nine pros listed above. The second half has just got underway with Bournemouth having taken a 1-0 lead just before half time. However, second half comebacks seem to our speciality at the moment! ;D

Update - Torquay now leading 2-1! Macklin ran 2/3 length of pitch before slotting past the keeper and Yeoman scored almost immediately after!
