Could always have got the bus back, bloody rip-off he was, nearly a tenner for me and two kids! Bus back was £1.15 single - very nice trip it was to.

Aussie what a star that man is, he carried Carol’s ashes from the start for a good part of the walk, how can anyone not love this man. carried on along the track. With the greatest of respect, am I allowed to make a satirical comment about Australian cricket at this stage? Or has it already been done?

My first bus ride for a number of years it was a shock for me as there was no "stubber" on the back of the seats! Mind you we caught the 21 and went around the local council estate - maybe you caught the 21A

I also forgot to mention that one or two people have given me more money for the walk even after I had done it so it now stands at £195.50. Anyone want to round it off to a neat £200.00?

We paid £3.30 for two adults and two children on the 21A. A very friendly rastafarian type character took our fare. Perhaps your driver was a Kiwi Aussie and recognised your accent just prior to quadrupling the fare! Rotten swine! Anyway well done for raising so much money - its nice for us poms to see someone from upside down doing so much for such a worthy cause!

Two bus companies; two sets of fares. Barnstaple to Bideford is unusual because it is served by both First and Stagecoach (just like Torquay to Paignton at times). This is the result of Stagecoach deciding to compete in what is traditionally First (ex-Southern National) territory. Stagecoach – 21/21A; First 1/ 2.
