So, the third test could be the one that see us top the world rankings. On a half decent pitch, India are 100-6 as I write so already, they have a battle to save this test. Looking imminent now mate!

What an utter shambles the indians are at the moment. After beating Sri Lanka i was really looking forward to a tight series with a battle for the number one spot but no its just too eay.
They havent been able to bat any length of time, have a poor bowling attack and their fielding is poor. I know England have dropped their fair share this series but nothing compared to these. Not even bothering to watch the highlights now its got so repetitive but obviously delighted that we are now going to officially be the best in the world.
Pity we are not down in South Africa this winter as that really would be good.....

It is a pity that it has been all one way traffic this series and I do wonder what effect the IPL hot on the heels of the World Cup has had on the Indian team. However, not being able to cope in English conditions is a big factor and if you want to be the best team in the world you have got to be able to adapt to conditions right around the world! I am just starting to appreciate how the aussie fans felt when they really wanted a competitive ashes series during the nineties and up to that 2005 series. However, with a bit of luck, our number one status can be wrapped up by Saturday lunchtime so I can enjoy the Rovers match without having one ear on the cricket.

Mate I did try to explain that side of being an Aussie and wanting some form of competition, well you`ve stepped up to the plate now and are doing brilliantly, this can only bode well for cricket itself and I applaud you Sir, just don`t get too used to it!

More aussie like batting from the England batsmen yesterday with yet more records falling! Now that the question mark can be removed from the thread title, maybe the next question is how long we can remain there!
