At the start of the season, not many would have thought that Bradford would be in a relegation battle, but as their caretaker manager Peter Jackson (could he be after Danny Stevens? ;D) admits they are severely under achieving, but with six points to the good and two games in hand, (one of which is away to Macclesfield tonight) they should have enough quality to stay up.
Bradford have recently lost narrowly 2-1 to our promotions rivals, Shrewsbury and Stevenage and although they don't draw many, will be a difficult prospect, particularly at home. Top scorer is Syers with nine and other players to watch out for are Adeyemi and Hanson!
There will be changes to the side with Stanley suspended and I'm sure Bucks will be looking at the different midfield combinations in training this week although Oastler and O'Kane in my mind would balance well together but could be harsh on Lathrope. However, if Tomlin is up front on his own as per the Northampton line up, then maybe all three will start?
Once again, we have the advantage of watching the other team play in the week and if we don't concede in injury time we could get a result that could put us within touching distance of the top three.

Hanson has just gone off injured in their match tonight. Scored the only goal of the match and that win sees them pull clear of the relegation zone with them now up to 15th! Accrington won again but Wycombe held to a draw away at Hereford so remain catchable and one step closer to Chesterfield becoming Champions, hopefully before they play us!

Looking forward to the trip to Valley Parade. Any suggestions from W Yorks Gulls or others in the know as to suitable watering holes (i.e. anywhere selling Landlord, Theakston's, Black Sheep etc plus food) between the railway station and the ground?

Any suggestions from W Yorks Gulls or others in the know as to suitable watering holes (i.e. anywhere selling Landlord, Theakston's, Black Sheep etc plus food) between the railway station and the ground? Try CAMRA's Good Beer Guide (check in motorway services if you don't have a copy). Last season our group searched in vain for a pre-match curry. There are cafes serving curry all over London and in Manchester and we thought we'd have no problem in the so-called Curry Capital of Europe. We found nothing! Not in the city centre anyway. We ended up in some bizarre polish place where we we had polish pork chops and sauerkraut. That was nice enough but the amusing thing was the woman behind the counter couldn't speak a word of the Queen's and we had to wait for one of her regulars to act as interpreter!

It looks like Hanson is indeed out so makes the job of being the first Torquay side to win away at Bradford for forty years just that little bit easier.
With two home matches next up an away win would have us right up there. With our last two away wins against Barnet and Bury and the next away match at Burton, lets hope Plan B away from home continues to work. ;D
Our central midfield pairing could be Lathrope and Oastler but dot com gives very little away and indeed lists all the options which are considerable in light of the recent Pringle / Stanley axis not being available. It is quite an important call for Bucks with Stanley only available for three of the last six matches and then with possible play offs after, it is essential that this new partnership is a success.

Whether the point we've lost will make any difference will become clearer by the end of the month! One thing is clear though, and that is if we don't get maximum points from todays match we can pretty much kiss good bye to automatic promotion! That being said the play-offs would still be a possibility, and of course more financially rewarding!

I did the predictor on the BBC sports page and I had us going up in 3rd auto spot. We would have been 2nd but for the 1 point! Maybe I was a bit fluffy cos I had us winning all our last 6 games. Not impossible but 3 points today will give us a great boost.

I did the same last Monday DTG and had us promoted in 2nd place 6 points ahead of 3rd placed Bury ... so I am not remotely worried about a single point deduction! ;D

No tinkering at the back and a four/five man midfield if you include Zebs/ Robinson with goals in abundance from three including Okane. Looks the right choice to me, time will tell. 01 Bevan 03 Nicholson 05 Robertson 07 Mansell 23 Branston 10 O'Kane 18 Oastler 22 Lathrope 09 Robinson 15 Tomlin 26 Zebroski Substitutes 16 Potter, 02 Rowe-Turner, 04 Ellis, 17 Halpin, 19 Stevens, 08 Kee, 11 Murray

Great stuff - was delighted to get an update on the egg chasers at Exeter playing at Bath, it was definitely worth Nichopson's free kick to take the lead!
