I have as well in the last couple of weeks. I'm expecting to see some juicy titbits but but mainly Gritton's high-brow quality banter and Halpin's alarming language and implication of bingedrinking is all I've really picked-up so far! Danny Senda did give an exclusive that he had beeen released though.
Agree with your view that Edgar street looked rather dilapidated, Barton. It was a shame that there was such a poor crowd - usually NYD brings a bumper number of fans out, alas just under 2,000 in Hereford's case today. I've seen them take over a thousand away before in the 90's. I'm a friend of a former Hereford Director's nephew and there was talk of them building a ground onto the carpark next to the exisiting Edgar Street - that seems to have died a death though.
Whilst Plainmoor has been rebuilt in a fairly soul-less and unimaginative way it certainly is fairly practical (although there is loads of parking within a short walk from Edgar Street).

I don't profess to understand all of Gritt's tweets - there's a generation gap between even the older players and the likes of myself - but, yes, young Halpin's messages do reveal a somewhat hedonistic youth culture west of the Tamar (all happening in Bodmin, eh?). Enjoyed Branno79's warning to the lad about the perils of gambling as well as Ann Sandford's messages to Branno79 and Manse7 regarding the diminished consequences of yellow cards after 1 January. Thought Danny Senda came across as a decent bloke who was clearly thankful to everyone giving him a chance at Plainmoor.

What? And make it snappy as the answer is needed as a matter of urgency if you get my drift!

I would say that both did a degree before becoming professional footballers? Gritts went to Portsmouth University - did Sills go there as well?
Bodmin is the place to be if you have a liver and stomach of a concrete elephant. I must admit that I wince when I read some of things that they put - firstly they were exactly like I was a dozen years ago, secondly because Halpin is a very, very talented young player with the ability to make a great pro - I hope he goes on to do a "Darren Moore " rather than a "Mark Loram".

Found the answer... Sills got a Sports Science degree from Portsmouth University whilst playing part-time for Basingstoke.

I should have looked on wikipedia!! Interesting article from 2008 on Tim Sills: www.thisissouthdevon.co.uk/news/Success-degrees-soccer-star/article-277030-detail/article.htmlI think it is fair to say that there are a lot of comparisons that could be made between Sills and Gritts - they scored some memorable goals for the club, were excellent reprasentatives both on and off the pitch (although sadly Gritts hasn't fared so well this time around), similar types of players and are very articulate and intelligent individuals. I've no doubt that both will do well in their post-football careers - I couldn't imagine them p*ssing their earnings away or on footballl bling like some players do.

I'm not sure what Gritts studied although, at the time, I think he was reported as being a sports science student. There's only about fifteen months between them - Gritts born June 1978; Sillsy September 1979 - so, presumably, their time at Portsmouth overlapped. As an undergraduate Gritton played for Porthleven when they reached the quarter finals of the FA Vase (losing to Taunton) before signing for Argyle.
