The first match at Plainmoor for three weeks combined with a good start will hopefully bring in a decent sized crowd to cheer the team on.
Accrington have an even meaner defence than ours this season and have not conceded, or for that matter scored, in their two previous away league games. A solid rather than spectacular start sees them lying eighth in the table and unbeaten in the league. Unbeknown to Stanley, their midfielder, Putterill, had a 42 day match ban running from 30th August and this was breached in the JPT so he is unlikely he will play.
It is up to Buckle to decide whether to stick with the XI that have started so well or to change the side based on the performances at both Southend and Exeter. From the various match reports I wouldn't be surprised to see some sort of change on the wings, particularly at home against a tight defence. Options available include moving Zebroski back to the right and/or recalling O'Kane or Macklin to start.

With the size of the squad we have got the team almost picks itself and the only real question for me is who do we start up front and what formation do we play.
Reading the last few match reports from away games I got the feeling both Elliot and Danny were not at their best and yet in Danny’s case in our last home mach he played as good as I have seen him play and he righty was named man of the match.
If I had to pick the team based on the games I have seen so far this season then the back four would stay the same with Scott in goal and Mansell and Wroe in midfield with Zebs on the right wing and Danny on the left wing.
Billy Kee has yet to really show us his best and I’m sure it won’t be much longer coming but I would not start him and go with Grits and Elliot. Grits is a good target man and Elliot can play off him and that I feel will give us our best chance of opening up the Stanley defence and scoring the goals that will give us the three points.

i think we should give kee a start as he hasnt really been given enough minutes in matches and benyon hasnt been performing well recently, we should play gritts as target man and have key playing off of him. if key isnt playing well then swap him for zebs at half time enough is enough with danny he hasnt played well even average in atleast the last 3 games he has played we could put eunan on the wing and go for an attacking formation hopefully carlisle will have woken up from the last game and is alert to the balls im hoping for a nice win with a clean sheet to boost the defence, as this will be my last home game untill christmas

A another tough game (do we have any easy games?) and whatever the outcome they will make us work hard. Last season in february the Gulls won at home by a 90th minute own goal.
Stanley have been doing very well for such a small club. Although they have some big clubs around them from where they can attract 'rejects'.

accy will very be a tough nut to crack, but if we can return to our neat passing and all out attack strategy we should have too much for them,a tight low scoring game in our favour i reckon

I know that Danny had a man of the match performance at home last time but his performances in the three away games havent been up to scratch and reckon we could see Zeb on the left and Carlisle on the right. As for up front it will be Benton and Gritton/Kee. Kee obviously will be desperate to play against them after his loan there last season. Two well drilled defences could well mean a stalemate, although not for the wont of trying by both sides. Have gone for a 0-0 in the prediction league but will probably be 4-2 now

i have a lot of respect for accy, been to there ground many times,a freindly little club, who really do punch above their weight. They get along on the smallest football league average attendance, all master-minded by the astute john coleman. Not one of the premiership managers could better what coleman has done with the resources at his disposal, despite that he remains loyal to them

My usual prediction I'm afraid, a goal fest at Brainmore, Tqy 5-3 Stanley.......all 8 goals to be scored by Mansell.

A stereotypical Northern working town that I loved and the most friendly fans I have ever met. They also sang ALL game, even when they went one down, and not once did they sing anything derogatory towards us. It's the first and only time I have come away from a game and not felt to bad about getting beat 4-1. In fact I spent most of the next week singing their 'Accy Stanley' song. I really hope we extend them the same hospitality and goodwill that they showed to us, and PLEASE no 'who the f*cking hell are you' songs. I'm also looking forward to this seasons away fixture.

I would never ever look forward to going to their place again, it was bloody horrible the first time and bloody horrible the last time, they don`t have a league standard ground and have been taking the piss out of the league for too many years now, if they can`t develop their ground to league standard level then they should be thrown out! Four courses of block work around some turf does not cut it I`m affraid! Their fans have always been very good and they should also feel a bit let down by their club and the standards set by their club, I know I would be!

The one and only time I have been to their ground was the day it was free to get in. I think it was an important relegation dogfight that prompted the home club chairman not to charge spectators. Even this did not stop a few lads from refusing to come in the ground. They still watched the match from outside, on a grass bank beside the away end. The highlight of the day for me was the chant from united fans; I'ts free and your still outside, It's free and your still ouside ................ It was a terrible experience . Got drenched, lost 1-0 conceding late on, Lee Thorpe got a bit aggressive toward a united fan at the end of the match and then I had endure a the 7 hour coach trip home sat in a puddle of water. Never again.

Never again. That was the game I was at, it only stopped raining at half time and then started to belt it down again as soon as we kicked off for the second half, miserable experience in a miserable place, not too keen on repeating it! 6 hours of being drenched on the bus back is not my idea of comfort! Managed to take some friends who are not TUFC fans and that little trip put them off for life. Might have been different if it wasn`t so miserable oop north, only my opinion but what a crap hole and in crap conditions it was just a nightmare, especially when all you`ve got out of it was zero points, a poor display by our lot and a good and thorough drenching followed by a horrible trip home! Some people might have had other or better experiences up at theirs but that was mine!
