Many thanks Andy and Jeremy for you match reports and yes Jeremy the TFF has brought many people to together and real friendships have been made and that is something that has pleased me so much.
It’s the same mindless idiots I believe go to most away games these days and the same ones who stand in the middle of the popside and treat us to much the same sort of rubbish and abusive swearing.
I would expect the three away games in such a short space of time took its toll on our players today and I’m sure they will take this defeat on the chin and come out all guns blazing in the next match.
Great to hear that our fans gave them all a good round of applause after the game, it has been a fine run of results indeed and we can feel rightly very proud of what they have achieved so far this season.
Did anyone here what Bucks had to say after the game? I missed it as it had not come on the radio by the time I got home

As disappointing as our first loss is, i believe that EVERYONE would have taken 12 points from the first 5 games.
The trouble with having the start that we have had is that it raises our own expectations.
It is easy to make excuses and the 3 away games in a week is bound to have taken its toll. However, more often than not you learn more from a defeat than a win.
For me how we react to this next Saturday will give us another indication of how our season is progressing. If we go out a beat Accrington with their stingy defence then I would start to think that todays game was a one off, a blip, and I would be hopeful that we really do have a great season in front of us..

These mindless idiots have been behaving like this for the last few seasons home and away. Can we not do something about them collectively, I like a few others have tried to tell them to shut up but it is obviously quite intimidating standing up to them and it makes them worse to be honest. I am not necessarily saying they should be kicked out (although I would not complain) but surely somebody from the club / stewards could give them a good b*ll**king abouth their behaviour. The club cannot these people being associated with them.

The club cannot want these people being associated with them. We no longer have Steve 004 on the popside as I believe he is now a taxi driver and has given up working for the Plymouth based security company. Maybe someone should have a word with the man who has replaced him and make him aware of the feelings many do have on the popside. Not to sure I want to be the one who takes on the challenge as it has in the past been used on here to have a go at me. After my great last two Saturdays watching local football free from such behavour, I'm seriously considering carrying on watching local football for the rest of the season.

I'm a regular reader, rare poster on the forum but after todays game I feel I have to say something about the mindless idiots or "loyal supporters" today.
I've never been more embarrassed by our own fans in my 20 years of following Torquay.
I was the person who turned round and told them they were embarrassing (and put up with a fair bit of abuse as a result). I was slightly disappointed to receive little back up, but I do understand it's not the easiest thing to do.
I used to go on and on to my friends about how much fun the Torquay away support are, what a great day out it is, how we're different to other clubs. After this, I'm not sure I'll invite my mates again. I'm disgusted to be associated with these people.

Yep a mate came with me to Hereford away last season..........we walked back to the car after the desperately bad 0-1 with our sons behind this group as they taunted ordinary Hereford fans, minding their own business....with gems such as "sheep shaggers" and "welsh scum" etc ........he described our "ultras" ;D as a group of 10-15 ugly, overweight, thick, inbreds with barely a brain cell between them......nail on head i reckon. They are excruciatingly embarassing........on my rarer away trips these days, i just try and sit/stand as far away as possible.

By the way, the 1991 kit is my favourite ever!

Would concur - was also in the crowd and of the same opinions regarding the foul language and dim wit of some of the so called supporters - especially the language dircted to John Salako - most likely they don't have the collective IQ to develop witty banter. Not a bad game, but as most have said - we weren't at the races in the first half. Nico was fantastic throughout though and Branston got a little hot headed on a couple of occasions - just thinking that Danny appeared a little out of sorts on the wing - wonder if he would be better deployed in the slot behind the striker(s) given his excellent touch and shooting ability - he seemed to struggle with the more defensive aspect (headers etc.) and at times did not have the better of their right back. No disgrace in the result although important to have convincing home win next game perhaps.

Good point about Danny there Simon - the lad Clohessy really impressed me a couple of seasons ago at Salisbury, and I remember Merse remarking the same. He was even better on Saturday - defensively solid and a real threat going forward as well.

Presumably it's the same morons that thought it was witty to hurl abuse at Wayne C over the last couple of years? And now seem to be targetting Danny in the last couple of home matches? About time the stewards did something. As for the chances of a convincing win against Accy? They will be a tough nut to crack. 0-0 all over it
