harrogategull, It really Is all about getting as much cash as possible. I did a thread about how the Yeovil fans feel and their board stated that part Of the problem this year is money. Last season they did well In the transfer market but this has not happened this season for them.
As Jon posted some time ago the budget for this season was based On much higher gates than we have been getting. Not getting extra cash through the cup games, may result In a much smaller budget being set for next season. If we did not go up this season, then next season on a smaller budget would make It even more impossible.

Wiki states: FA Cup matches are currently shown live by both ITV and Setanta Sports across the UK and Ireland. Setanta Sports shows three games and one replay in each round from round three to five, two quarter-finals and one quarter-final replay (if any are required) and one semi-final. ITV shows sixteen FA Cup games per season, including first pick live matches from each of the 1st to 6th rounds of the competition plus one semi-final exclusively live. The deal additionally includes highlights of all weekend and mid-week FA Cup matches. Both ITV and Setanta screen the final live.

Blyth Spartans away would be my choice - though I appreciate that few other than those of us up north would like that one!

I find it quite sobering how folk are now beginning to catch on to the "non league" approach to FA Cup adventure. Sure, when we were a Football League club there was always an ambition to pull out a plum in the cup; but now we appreciate the raw hunger of the non league fraternity that has stood them in such good stead for catching their Football League "Big Brothers" with their pants down. I feel as if it has taken all my life for MY club to become a true "F.A. Cup" team along the lines of Yeovil Town and Hereford United!

lyongull, I still think even that game would get quite a few gulls fans on the terraces cheering the team on, but a nice safe(It that Is possible) home draw and In the hat for the next round would be my choice.

I can't wait for the draw. Will be weird seeing on ITV. Lets hope they don't stop half way through for an ad break.
