Interesting breakdown of the financial side of our FA Cup run in 1955 and particularly the fact that our share of the profits was bigger from the first and second round games than it was for our 3rd round home reply with Leeds United. I hadn't realised either that we had to pay compensation to clubs we had been due to meet in league fixtures on the days of our cup games. Clear that worrying about the cost of running a football club is not a 21st century phenomenon. |
