There should be a cull of all seagulls who live further than (say) 1.2 miles from the sea and heavy (to the power of 100) fines to people who a) afford these flying vermin shelter on their house(s) and b) those that feed them. This would raise money for Mr Bye and the Council - win win win. 1.2 miles? I wonder if I live that far from the sea the way the seagull fly ;D wonderful creatures and protected as they should be. If you only want them inland by only 1.2 miles, maybe you could take over for a while from one of these chaps. PS I thought it was one and a half miles you were asking for and so that is what it says on the banner

Protected my arse They have no place in urban life - they have webbed feet for Cliff's sake. I'd like to see heavy fines and/or imprisonment for those folk that feed or shelter them.

My dear Phil you have now made me all confused You say they should not live more than 1.2 miles from the sea and have no place in urban life, how many houses have we humans built in Torbay that are not 1.2 miles from the sea

Was hoping after that I may have won 50/50 or the lotto as I believed in the old wives tale that, that happening to you would bring you luck!! Sadly it didn't!!!!

What a glorius sight outside my front door!! It's a peregrine falcon and he flies regularly. Only problem is the inbred taff's would rather poison it so they race vermin.

One solution that could kill 2 birds.....so to speak.
How about fitting those Littls Bus things with rear gunners? Their job would be to take down any pigeons/seagulls in the line of fire. You could employ some of those wannabe scouse drugdealers to do it. Therefore satisfying their need for violence, the unemployment problem and the flying vermin would be exterminated.
What?!
