More importantly what happened to the trophy, Captal gulls took it with them, could we have it back please. Capital Gulls and "trophies" have a strange and magnetic history I'm afraid. The current holders of the CHAOS Cup (see site calender) would no longer know who has the quiz trophy stashed away in their living room than they would the identity of the Gulls' next goalkeeper. In fact, the chances of them returning to the scene of last season's triumph with the cup are pretty much zilch I'd say, so they'd ruddy well make sure they win it all over again! I can hold my hand up and say "it ain't me guv" in all honesty as I was a non contributing "lurker" to .net in those far off days - I didn't even have a PC then (I used to lurk from internet cafes) I recall that funny little gaggle of "netters" who used to furtively gather around the bar of Laces pre-match and remember thinking to myself that some of them might be able to post interesting stuff but are a bit challenged in the verbal repartee stakes. If it's a trophy you are after, I suggest you ask Romford Kev as he has a bit of "history" as far as "trophies" are concerned - him and his Romford FC supporting mates used to hit boardrooms all over the Ryman League like a bunch of your friendly Viking raiders pillaging valued bits of silver and what have you from Leatherhead in the south to Tring Town in the north, such was their fearsome reputation. Me? I prefer a bit of rape myself, but only as far as the sandwich trays went; not the Chairman's wife you understand. Old "'enry" even managed to get his hands on the FA Trophy one night which is more than we did at Wembley the other week - oh well. Then there was the infamous disappearance of a bit of kit from the Hampden Park dressing rooms eh Ross? Glasgow Sheriff's Court for us all seemed a dead cert for a while then pal didn't it! Oh and the moment when the Halifax Town goalkeeper unknowingly took to the field with "Loser" felt tipped underneath the name on the back of his jersey thanks to a surreptitious bit of dressing room skullduggery by K1pper before one Plainmoor match! ;D

I seem to remember "tufc ace" who famously was criticised by MikeB for choosing to mow his lawn instead of going to a game once. Couldn't he have got the Son in Law to do it?

(You forgot about the time we marauded all the way "home" to Essex with an 8ft "Wembley Central" sign under our arms, did you?)!!!!! Happy days with the R.A.C - Romford Away Crew!!

I acknowledge that fact Dave, and I have certainly felt the wrath of a certain "big Wig" however, Im tired of certain big wigs google searching my name and finding some inane facts. One thing you get from me is complete transparancy I never hide, however I and my daughter have been atacked from many sides on .net by the unnamed admin team. I still feel that your site could allow all posters the opportunity to express any issues with other posters so long as its factual and free of involvement from moderators. Maybe we could have a south african style truth and reconsiliation forum. Ill get my coat then You are free to express any issues with others posters, that are on this site. As long as its not personal insults, Like Merse got elsewhere. I know you have strong feelings to wards certain people, just like Merse, but I have had threats of legal action, threats that I'm being reported to Pro Boards, why I don't know. To save anymore hassle for the time being, the only thing we don't talk about is the otherside. Me heart can't stand no more. ;D ;D

I was indeed part of that victorious Capital Gulls team.
If my memory serves me right, we had ambitous plans to show the trophy off by way of an open top bus the very next day around London. However, finances were a little tight at the time so we settled for holding it up through the car sun roof on our way home that Saturday evening.
Well done Sean for the sponsorship. Do you still have the flag??
