Would you be able to expand on the "particular and rather unique work ethic and team spirit that Bucks insists upon" ? How is it particular and what is unique about it? Thanks Speak to Matt Green, Nicky Wroe amd Michael Brough and their struggles to reach the fitness levels set them on their arrival. Ask them about the extra time put in by the players on their individual skills/requirements that simply weren't so widely and willingly undertaken at their old clubs. Paul Buckle runs a "very tight ship" where team spirit and squad togetherness is concerned, it's something he sets great store by.

Of course the manager is always on the lookout for that "magic" scoring talent that may become available! It would appear that he (the majic) has turned us down !

I do believe he thought it was beneath him, although he has never established himself above BSP level. Sometimes attitudes like that tell a prospective manager more about their target than watching them play!

We're technically up to 7th now as Mansfield have been docked 4 points and favourites with Blue Square for the title as opposed to merse's 20's. Buckle's latest appraisal at the link below. www.bluesqfootball.com/story/0,20970,13040_4252496,00.html

One point I will pick up on this story Is Bucks talking about the unity being back at the club. It would suggest as I had said that there were things that were wrong and needed to be sorted. I think It really showed, not only In the team performance but the way the players reacted to each other, at the end Of the game, that everything Is well and truly sorted.
Having any dressing room with 22 men all full of testosterone, must always be a hard place to keep everyone In order. To deal with those upset at not making the team, or substituted when the player felt he was playing well. One thing Merse Is correct about Is, that being a a manager Is far more than someone who just picks the team.
We all know In our own work place, that things can get out Of hand, someone plays up and causes trouble, the prove Of any good manager In any job, Is how they deal with It and Its clear Bucks has dealt with it well.
