Hi guys
Wonder what happened to the old Torquayfans.com site. was looking to get some sort of commentary for the Reading game and found this site which is sort of different but interesting.
Look forward to intelligent debate.

Thanks for the Welcome guys. Yes I know you all enjoyed my banter. I do have a little fun with you all sometimes as our GG web master said, "I see you have been Rabble rousing again". Nothing like a bit of rabble rousing. as one was heard to say a few years ago on TV. All done in the best possible taste.
I won't ignore the other site but will enjoy being on here too. Shame it went down when it did as I was looking forward to what seems like darned good minute by minute commentary on the Reading game. but when i tried to log on it seemed as if it was not available any more. that was some downtime.

gloster think you may be confused,that site has not gone ,is just down right now. It often happens. I'd guess its something to do with the guardians of that site not having sufficient knowledge of SQL to cope with any technical issues; thus taking a long time to make any amendments to the script. |

just to udate,hope no one minds,i have just been in contact with admin from dot.net.
it appears to be an issue with talkboards,which they trying to sort out,i have also been told they can not put any date/time currently when the site is likely to return.

So having just taken a look myself at that site Jon can you give me a good reason why I should keep the link to it on this forum when Yellow is still slagging of the TFF on there.

Because Yellow's not that bad really. He's quite a reasonable bloke. No, only joking - he is a complete and utter $%£&*!. You might remember that when I first joined this forum I said it was wrong to have two forums - that we should all just get on. I was wrong - ridiculously naive and idealistic. You were right. The two forums have settled down quite nicely to keep everybody happy. It looks like Louis's forum is going to be down on a match day, so there will be a lot of people milling around looking for somewhere to go. If people trip into this forum, like it and want to join in here then that's fine. If people who hate this forum, for whatever reason, think they have nowhere else to go they will turn up here and that won't help anyone. That $%£&*! might even turn up pretending to be a Slovakian gynecologist or something if he gets fed up with talking to Norman about chocolate. Far better for people to have the choice of two places to congregate with Mervo's dotnet temporarily taking the place of the forum that pretends to be dotnet even though it isn't! Delete the link if you want Dave - and I wouldn't blame you if you did, but this forum will suffer if you do. If other forum owners are so obsessed with "who can get the most members" that they actively encourage slagging off of TFF whilst deleting any posts that are positive about TFF, then that is their prerogative. Let's not sink to that level. |
