DtG stop posting on here, it`a stupid, vile and makes you look sick. If you think like that and don`t give a toss to someone who has died from cancer and just bore off.
He was conected to us in the fact he came close to signin for us so many times and he has friends who play for us and if a former teamate of Paul Buckle. You make a thread with sympathy into a thread not worth posting om. Please go away and leave people to leave thier respects. YOU start a thread about those Chinese people if you want.
R.I.P. Adam Stansfield. Thoughts go out to your family.

Dtg you just come over as sounding bitter and I can understand that if you have lost family prematurely. Your correct in saying every life lost to whatever be it desease or disaster its all a matter of how close to you that person is/ was. Adam Stansfield was closer to us than the Chinese, we knew him as a local footballer and a young man with young children and thats why people on here have reacted the way they have and its not crocodile tears as you say its a genuine and caring response to an awful event but indeed only one awful event of many thousands that happen every day.

Maybe you should get a job merse rather than swinging the lead. Maybe I should seek a job swinging the lead ~ and I can think where my lead ball would be more than apt in dealing with your continuing offensive manner!

Not that it is really relevant, but Adam Stansfield so very nearly became a Torquay United player on more than one occasion; including the time he was seeking his first ever professional contract. I believe Torquay United's awareness of Adam Stansfield started with the Devon St Luke's game against Elmore in May 2000 when Wes Saunders was in charge. Relevant or not, it makes us ponder life's fates and it's poignant to see Steve Tully's name in our line-up given he was later to play alongside Adam Stansfield (including his final game in March 2010):

Shame on you Dave Shaw for making the posts you have made today on this thread that was put up so those who wanted to pay their respects were able to do so. You are a disgrace to the Torquay Fans Forum and Torquay United Football Club Who are you to pass judgement on how sincere and heartfelt the posts are, I happen to believe they are all very genuine posted by TFF members who are very saddened to learn a very young footballer known well to us all who is a father of three young children has sadly passed away.
I do not even want to start thinking about your reasons for turning a thread of condolence into one that has contained your bile on it, but I do know my views on what you have done and the action I feel needs to be taken by the TFF.
I was not trying to lecture you, the point I was trying to make was that when you learn that someone you know has died so young from cancer, it brings home just how fragile the lives are of the people you love who are having major battles in their own lives to stay alive. My Carol is still very much alive and fighting hard to carry on doing that and your lack of any respect or thoughtfulness to the effects your posts will have on people like me and others on here who I know have recently learned a love one has been told they have cancer, is a disgrace
Each and everyday we are moved when we here around the world people have lost their lives, everyday our hearts go out to the families of our brave soldiers fighting in wars they should not be in and anyone is free to start threads and express their sorrow and others are free to add their own messages expressing the sadness they also feel.
This young man was a local football who we knew and among many other things the TFF is, it is firstly a football forum and when such sad things happen to any footballer, then this is the place where threads can be put up so football fans can express their own sorrow at the news they have just heard.
I have received a large number of PM’s asking that you disrespectful posts are removed from this thread, while its what I should do if only in the name of common respect and decency, I have decided to leave them and only because the very decent and caring members on the TFF have made it very clear what they think about your actions and words on the TFF this morning.
I’m not prepared to let you carry on posting your bile on this thread and have now set your account to be disabled for a total of five days. When the five days are up your account will function again. By that time we might have lost a game and you can then start posting all your Buckle out rubbish you have treated us to over the last two seasons on here. It’s a shame you were unable to bring yourself to post on the Northampton match thread how well Paul Buckle and the team did winning the opening game of the season by three goals to nil. The fact you could not bring yourself to give any praise where its due speaks volumes about the sort of person you are.
Dave
I would kindly ask this thread is now only used for its intended purpose.

I think everyone is in complete agreement that the posts of davethegull represent him and him alone and not Torquay United Football Club or TFF.
God only knows the reasons behind his vile outburst and then to turn this thread into a slagging match with other members adds further disgrace.
Personally I think a five day ban is more than generous - now go away and deal with whatever demons are running your callous, cold-hearted, idiotic brain.
I would like to personally pay my respects to Adam Stansfield and his family in this tragic time (as this thread and message board being set-up allows me to do), very sad news indeed.

Dave (R, that is) I think you have made a mistake in banning Dave TG. He is, after all, simply stating his opinion, and as an opinion, it has validity, no matter how much you might disagree with it. Banning him also denies him the right of reply to come on here and defend himself against those who hold different views. This is fundamental to a ‘forum’, which is supposed to be an exchange of views. Or are we not permitted to hold opposing positions? If you are not going to allow people to hold views other than those you find acceptable, then perhaps you should change the name of this website.
DTG is, after all, simply re-stating the arguments against the so-called “Princess Diana Syndrome” and seems to have touched a nerve with it.
For the record, I think it is a tragedy that such a young man, who gave such pleasure to many (not least Jeff Stelling!) has lost his life to such a horrible disease. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

If that's the case, forever tufc, then I'd be pleased if you would also remind other contributors of that, and not single me out as though I had hijacked this thread. Other people on this thread have veered from the title (including at least one person who I would have thought should kept quiet where commenting on others' actions is concerned), but I note you have not upbraided them. Please do not presume to tell me what I may nor may intend by my postings, and who are you to imply that I lack respect? I take great exception to that.
I have expressed my condolences to Adam's family and friends. I have stated that I think it is a tragedy for such a young man to lose his life in such a way.
I'm not sure what more you could want from me.
There needs to be a proper debate on here about free speech, and what it means to the site owner/operator, because - clearly - his ideas and mine about what constitutes a forum appear to differ widely.
If Dave R wishes to delete all of my (and others') posts from this thread, so that it can be left as a genuine tribute from TUFC fans to Adam, then I am happy for that - although please then leave my own condolences in place.
