Lucky for you it was a joke then - we do make up the odd letter on quiet days, but that wasn't a quiet one. Nice sense of humour there You better hope so!

I feel I have had a great day saw aussie, jon, dave, and joe barlow nice to see some friendly faces that I know. I thought we played well and I do belive that Bevan did mis que shall we say and was lucky! I had an interesting conversation with a man at half time that was in the gulls nest as my little boy was talking to him. He has a football managment company and the Barnet manager had sent him to watch Bournemouth play and Yeovil had sent him to see if there were any interesting players and he will report back to them on tuesday! so times might be a changing!

Great photo's as ever from Pinnacle, I always look forward to seeing the match pictures and am always astounded at their quality. I'll contribute a pre match photo, hopefully giving a sense of the optimism on the Pop side before kick off and the post match gloom as the storm clouds gather over Plainmoor in the wake of another home defeat ...not quite Pinnacle standard, but then I doubt they took theirs using a mobile phone ;D

Many thanks alpinejoe for your pictures, the resolution size of the pictures taken by the Pinnacle photographer are really unbelievably large and I get the added bonus of viewing them full size and not the reduced size I put on the forum.
The photographer also has a very big one, I'm sure you would have noticed him as he sits near the hallway line on the popside.

I'm going to ask him what he keeps doing in that small tent beside him, he never stops looking into it, I have a feeling he watches a bit of the old porn while waiting and hoping to get an action shot ;D

I think we were handicapped in several areas today:
a) Having to use two substitutes before half time meant Bucks didn't have the option of putting on players when he wanted and when. It did seem that both Muzzy and Williams would have made an appearance today.
b) Bevan wasn't fit enough to play today. He may have got 'away with it' in the BSP but not in the quicker Football League. Four 'keepers on the books and only one in the squad. Rice should not have been allowed to leave until his replacement was at the club.
c) The ref and Lino seemed not to be aware of the rules and what constitutes a hand ball. Mind you he was fair in his decision making for both sides.
d) We seem to make a hash of marking big men/cart horses/donkeys. Fletcher-Whats his name should have been marked better - almost similar to the non marking of Drewe Broughton whilst playing for Rushden several years ago.
I thought that (again) the opposition seemed to have done their home-work and most of the attacks came down the wings. Robbo and Nico don't have the pace to cope with this. Shame we didn't sign either of the two right backs on trial rather than Joyce.
Still, in Bucks we trust.

I'm going to ask him what he keeps doing in that small tent beside him, he never stops looking into it, I have a feeling he watches a bit of the old porn while waiting and hoping to get an action shot ;D My mum used to make the same observation of me when "I were a lad in me bed" In all seriousness, he's got his lap top in there and it is being protected from the elements and he gets a better view of his images in the shade..................photographers often attend games with a particular commission in mind and they need to know if they have succeeded in getting the image they require and if not then carry on seeking it; so referring to the images helps them in their work. Our good friend Steve Bond fascinated Anthony and I at Rushden & Diamonds during half time up there a couple of years ago with a "guided tour" of his first half work and demonstrated how he can zoom in or out and crop to maximise the effect of his pictures. All a far cry from the well known scenes on the big London grounds of forty years ago when a leggy blond used to mince around the pitch perimeter...............all thigh boots and tight jeans, and collect the film from the assembled snappers halfway through the second half so they could be whisked off by motorcycle courier to Fleet Street and their appearance in the Football Specials and Sunday rags of the age. You knew when she was coming as the wolf whistles and suggestive comments would rain down from places like the North Bank at Highbury, the Chelsea Shed and the Shelf at White Hart Lane and it was obvious she got some sort of thrill being the object of so much desire and lust. She never used to strut her stuff down Cold Blow Lane or The Boleyn mind you as the inmates there were so dog ugly they used to use an old biddy with twice as many tits as she had teeth ~ and they say she only had one tit you know!

MAGIC MARTIN'S BRILLIANT TRICKS KEEP OUT THE BANBURY THREAT was the headline on page 36 of todays Sunday Janner covering Truro City's match against Banbury.
"An outstanding performance by Truro keeper Martin Rice on his return to the club from Torquay Utd earned Truro a point to maintain their good start to the season.
Rice, who was in his second spell at the club, was in unbeatable form bringing a string of fine saves as the Oxfordshire side dominated much of the match."
* Star man: Martin Rice (Truro City)
