Thanks Nick, wrong term from the man who lives in his little bubble and fails at times, but always listens, looks again and generally gets it in the end. I see that Zebs could not have got a red card after the game ended and the Bournemouth fans who posted on their forum they saw reds cards being shown, must have been mistaken. I'm sure our fans leaving the ground must have felt the same way home fans did when we played Rotherham on the 21st November. Another game we fully deserved to win, but lost and you wonder just why that was the case. I do feel it was not a penalty and if it really was in the laws of the game, then why did we not get a second penalty in the Hereford game? I really got a great view of that incident and Rendell was really barged into with some force and from behind. We have talked before about how do you get consistency in the game as far as decisions go and I think we all agreed its near impossible to do that. It may always be the case that you hope things will just even out over a whole season, some you get and some you don't, some were and some were not. But such thoughts do not help when fans have gone a great distance to support their team, saw a game where their team was the better one on the day and ended up with nothing to show for it all and mainly because a wrong decision was made. Any ref can only give what he thinks he saw and yes often when replays are viewed it can be proved that not the correct decision was made. But in a strange way its what makes football so attractive to us as fans, we must suffer every single emotion going, from joy and happiness to tears and sorrow, to anger and frustration, a fan will suffer all of these and more. Its when a bad decision costs a team promotion, or they end up getting relegated, or do not win that cup final, that I feel I wish there was a better way, a way to ensure the team who should have won did, but then we would lose something from the game and just what would we have to talk about on a forum or in a pub.

Rather than it being a "PC world" I'd prefer to see it as a matter of simple common decency and would urge all posters to steer away from any remark that is based upon ethnicity. Common decency and common sense in my view, after all "PC" stands for politically correct, and "politics" never came into this. Reading a post referring to a referee's reputation in the area where he progressed through the ranks is all very well when linking that reputation with his performance on the day, but it is not common sense or just to then link a singular decision by that referee to the nationality/ethnicity of an individual player ~particularly rendered idiotic by the inaccuracy of that inferred link. I also feel it is particularly unhelpful when I pointed out the unjust nature of that link that the site proprietor jumps in with an invitation to "join the club" of those who have been labelled racist by me whilst intimating that I have an agenda to label as many people as I can as such. The farce of this is that the general poor performance of a referee with a string of "lost control" accusations stuck on him over the time he has been in the middle of Football League matches, has been diluted rather than enhanced by this unnecessary diversion. Looking at Keyberrygull's reproduction of modern day match reporting does indeed underline that the days of multiple bookings are well upon us and that the FA have made it more than easy for referees to officiate in this way by no longer requiring them to commit to paper their recollection of the transgression..................transgressions that then add up and eventually lead to the prevention of the player to perform during his suspension; a totally unjust state of affairs if you ask me. Earlier in the season I highlighted that another dismal referee ~ Keith Hill ~ was in my opinion operating above his ability level after taking a very long time to "reach the top" and that he was a full time employee within the Football Association. Jarnail Singh is now employed as a "Football Association Ambassador" which in reality means that the F.A. take his ethnicity as an essential part of his value in encouraging and hopefully persuading racial minorities to take up football and in certain instances discontinue to persuade their youth to shun football as a sport. In my experience of local youth football, I would say this is a highly admirable and sensible course of action by the FA as far too many young lads are lost to the game and the chance of expressing their enthusiasm and talent is lost to the individual through peer, cultural and parental pressure that is a sad manifestation of the type of generalisation we all read yesterday regarding an Asian referee and an Asian player. Unecessary and unjust remarks that offend and continue to give the parents of young "Asians" a reason to steer their children away from our national sport at worst or into ethnically exclusive competition at best....................i.e Asian clubs playing in Asian leagues. Comments about "sticking to cricket" are obviously unhelpful, indeed downright socially divisive and destructive when intelligent and balanced consideration is given to such tosh. Whilst admirable of the FA to use Mr Singh in such a positive way, it is also very wrong of them should they have in the past promoted him beyond his capabilities or continue to retain his services at a level at which he struggles to maintain a satisfactory level of performance in the "PC" quest for opportunity. All we should ask of the FA and the Football League is that the very best are appointed to the nation's top matches and that they are on the list for their ability and performance levels alone. Rest assured if this is the case there will ~ through natural evolution ~ be an available pool of suitable talent to fulfill the ambassadorial roles which the FA seek to fill, talent that will hold a valid and secure raison d' etre for being ambassadors in the first place.

I can only say I'm sorry for the post I made incorrectly last night merse, sometimes I really need to take more time reading everything and then try to see the whole picture.
I'm just trying to provide a good forum and still have so much to learn, when I get things wrong I will say so and all I ask is people just see my intentions are always honorable and I will always try to do the right thing and when I don't I hope I can put right.

I think I'm correct in saying that a player cannot be shown a Red card after the final whistle has been blown, he can be reported for misconduct though by the match referee, therefore it might not be the end of the matter as far as Zebs in concerned, Torquay could also face a further charge of failing to control their players. I would suggest the club send a DVD of the game to the FA with a plead for leniency on any action that might be taken,

Does anyone know if it is both Robertson and Wroe suspended for Saturday's match? To answer, my own question, it is confirmed on .com that both are suspended for this match.

I tried too email the F.A. but can`t seem to find anything that doesn`t require a F.A.N. number and not being a registered England fan cannot send anything to them! This is what I was going to send:- This referee at the Bournemouth vs Torquay fixture should be sacked for gross incompetence, bringing the game into disrepute and basically being absolutely useless at controlling football related situations! The mans a joke as far as being any form of official, it would appear he is employed as a token gesture towards political correctness due to his ethnic back ground and too employ some one just to fulfill this gap in multiculturalism is beyond a joke and bending the stick too far, I applaud organizations that employ people from various back grounds but they MUST be capable of doing the job to a satisfactory level, in this case he is clearly not capable of doing the job! Please request a copy of the match DVD from Bournemouth and make your own minds up, this issue needs to be addressed immediately before it gets too out of hand, nobody wants games to have to be replayed for the above reasons. Yes I am a Torquay fan, yes I am dissapointed at the outcome of the match but I am much much more concerned about the state of football and the way it`s officiated than the outcome of one game! This is not a personal attack on Mr.Singh but a cry of help from a football fan to the organization responsible for the conduct of football itself, please help restore my faith in the governing body of the sport I love most!

I want to get hold of the editor or the football league show because what was said before showing some brief highlights last night was ridiculous.
"A BAD TEMPERED AFFAIR WITH 12 CAUTIONS"
The trainer was only on the pitch once? I was there but the TV programme made the match out to be something it was not, a riot between 22 animals. Do they speak to the BBC reporters at they game or do they just look at the stats before showing the goals and passing comment. No mention that it was a game ruined by an incompetent referee. Yes it was ugly at the end but whose fault was that.

They`ve watch some highlights mainly at the end, looked at the amount of bookings and assumed the rest because they are incompetent and amateur!

I can only say I'm sorry for the post I made incorrectly last night merse, sometimes I really need to take more time reading everything and then try to see the whole picture. No need for an apology Dave, you have a forum to run and running it whilst partaking in it is doubly hard. When I reffed it was pointed out to me almost as soon as I started how Scottish referees would habitually run around with the whistle hanging around their neck and often stuck between their teeth, whilst English refs never did. Do you know why English refs did it differently? Well it was to increase the "thinking time" between seeing something and blowing for it. i.e. decreasing the chances of blowing too early or even incorrectly on impulse; and it was a theory I carried a little bit further when my own "form" dipped into making a rash decision or two and I used to shove the whistle in my shorts pocket to increase the time between thinking and blowing even further. Mind you I can recall dropping the ruddy thing once or twice but you get my drift. Perhaps you should instigate your own "shove it where appropriate" policy Dave in order not to dive in too quickly. ;D Oh, and a very necessary to add to that!

Aussie, you would need to construct a better email than that for the FA to sit up & take notice, calling for them to sack him in your 1st sentence would probably result in the email being deleted with out further reading. The 1st question that they would ask of you is, were you at the game? The 2nd would be are you in a qualified posistion to comment on his performance? Your best bet is to go through his each individual booking & look at each one as to why he produced a card, now you would need to see his caution sheet for each one, then point why you feel that shouldn't be the case, hard to do unless you were at the game & in a good vantage point. Your next line of approach should be suggesting that the Ref needs to be assessed at a future game, calling for him to be sacked is not the answer. His race has nothing to do with his level of performance on the football pitch, how do you know he got on to a league list due to his race? You should merely comment on his performance & not his race. The fact that you have had 24 hours to calm down and you are still happy with the content of your email worries me. You have just brought your own game into disrepute with such an email.

Ant how do you know I`m not qualified to judge this baffoon? O.k I wasn`t there but I have read about fifty peoples reports who were from a few different web sites, I have seen the highlights and I was an official FIFA approved referee in Australia for several years so patronize me all you like mate, your reply to my post brings your post into disrepute in my opinion. It is also common knowledge that Singh is a token ref to fill the ethnic gap and if the FA are too pompus too bother reading in FULL any complaint by the people they make millions from then the wrong people are in charge of football!
