A game for our players to forget the major challenges they face in the league and a game that could lead to a pot of gold and the chance to play a top team in the next round.
Stockport themselves have not had a very good start in league one, they have played 18 games and have only massed 14 points, their goal difference is -17, so there has to be questions marks over their defense.
Poke who I understand has been recalled would not have played in this game and so this will be a tester for Bevan to see if he is now injury free. Thomson was allowed to play in the last round so will be once again in this round, but what about Smith? can he play?
I think its time to put Zeb's upfront with Rendell, have Tomson and Carlisle on the wings and start with all the rest in the positions they played on Tuesday night.
If the players keep up their great work rate and effort they have been putting into games recently, then we have every chance of being in round three and the chance of a nice big pay day.

I concur wholeheartedly with the idea of Rendell and Zebs up front with Thomo and Wayne on the wings with Thompson and Tarzan in the middle. How long is Charnock suspended for? I`d like to see Ellis and Charnock in the middle with Manse and Smith out wide and the mighty Bevanator between the sticks. This still gives us a good bench to make changes and replace injuries.

Who is available?
Did Zeb play in the previous round? Has permission been given for Smith and Thomson? We could be thin on the ground

Zebs is cup-tied having played for Wycombe in the previous round against Brighton. Thomson played against Cheltenham and has had his loan extended so will be available for selection. The three youngsters on-loan to Yeovil from Spurs all were available for their FA Cup match so I would be surprised if he wasn't available on saturday.

therefore, it has to be a Sills, Benyon, Rendell combination with Thomson replacing zeb in midfield

Spurs have given permission for Smith to play in the FA cup so thats good. With Zeb out i would have thought either Jake Thompson would take his place ina straight swap. Rendell will be unlucky if he is dropped after scoring in midweek but Bucks might just go for the 4-4-1-1 formation with Ty Thompson just behind Sills. Its a massive game for us as we need to at least get a replay and hopefully get through in that to the next round. Winning the round will give us some much neede cash but with an overnight stay/coach costs on friday our cut from a 4000 gate up there will be very little if we get beat. I hate to say it but another draw is well likely.....

Excellent news about Pokey and the others, I can feel the Dave Thomas thread being bought back to the top again because what the Herald Express printed was complete bullshit! I think I`ve learned something today! Thanks Darryl for updating us with what`s really going on, I think in the future we wait for the clubs release of news as being the only real official news, long live the official club site! ;D

There was a comment that Wroe might be suspended for this one but he is in the squad on the O/S. Even so, there are still three youth players in squad if you still count Halpin as a youth player.
I would be quite happy with a draw!
EDIT: The BBC website puts Wroe on four yellows!

I'd like to see the same keeper and back 4 as last week. Usual central midfield partnership with Carlisle and Thomson on the wings. Bearing in mind we are away from home I would go Thompson in the hole with Sills / Rendell up front.

Just phoned Stockport who confirmed that today's game is OFF. Something I should've done before I set off this morning! I got as far as Walsall Services on the M6! Options then were Kiddy V AFC Wimbledon or wait around a few hours for the Villa V Spurs match on later. I was hoping that Walsall might be at home but in fact they are playing at Brentford, a mere two miles away from my home! 'kin hell!

Got to feel sorry for Barnsley, 4 - 1 up against Plymouth (at Plymouth) and the game is abandoned.
