To say that Sandygate has a slope is putting it mildly, BD. Whether it's the oldest ground in the world or not (you cheeky buggers!) it must surely be one of the steepest. If you want a proper slope try Zembard Lane, home of Chard Town. Mind you, next time you're in Torquay you could try a tour of local park pitches. The King George V slope, in particular, is a sight to behold. But Sandygate - at over eight hundred feet - must be one of the highest senior grounds in the country. It's also the place where I'll watch most of my step 5/6 football this season. I'd been considering Handsworth but they seem to have disappeared from the NECL. Not that the traffic noise from the nearby Parkway would have made it an attractive proposition. That's the possibly soon-to-be-renamed Jessica Ennis Parkway...
