No not in the least Dave, & thanks to Aussie. I've not had my birthday announced in public since Gus Honeybun did it sometime in the 1960's ;D I only hope Stefano wasn't slurping his bovril so loudly that he missed his birthday greetings. Yes must have been slurping and drooling as totally missed it even though I heard the Alpine Joe announcement. They probably pronounced it wrong with the emphasis on the second rather than the first syllable!!

Dave, isn't this thread in the wrong room? Leigh will be hearing from my solicitors over his scandalous piece of misquoting which leaves my reputation as a serious TUFC historian in tatters. He said I couldn't think of any ex-TUFC players who had played in an FA Cup final other than Sid Cann when what I actually said was this: Cann was definitely the only Torquay-born player for Manchester City in the 1933 FA Cup Final. How many Torquay-born players have played in an FA Cup Final? I can't think of any others, can you? I can think of Don Welsh and Lee Sharpe in answer to this new question. Now I can come up with a team full of future TUFC players in FA Cup finals - one for another thread. By the way I am only joking Leigh, so please don't apologise!

Dave, isn't this thread in the wrong room? No Jon I always put them in the Torquay United room to start with as more will read it there and then I move it to its own board sometime later like today ;D
