[glow=red,2,300]Jamie I will be glad when you are past this middle life crises mate ;D, [/glow]anyway seeing that I work for a power tool repair company, who orders 100's of parts every day, using part nos and codes etc, for tools that could be new or years old, guess what we never get it wrong. So how big is the hole for the light to go in, well that really is hard to work out. It's this interview Dave.... It's doing my head in. Roll on thurs

Roll on thurs I know mate but don't worry, you will sail through it, I mean you clicked all the correct buttons to get your name in green on here. Once they see and hear what you have to say, the job will be yours. I offer only one piece of advice and you need to think back to our staff meeting. Please walk in through the correct door ;D ;D

Please walk in through the correct door ;D ;D Not like the visually challenged Catholic who was shocked to hear the riposte to his confession - "what the f***k to you want to go bringing all that up in here for?" ' Aren't you supposed to confide in me as my parish priest father?' "Not in the ruddy khazi I'm not my son!"

Good to see the new lights have arrived and are being put up. They look a lot bigger, so I think we will really notice the difference.

I have brought this thread back up, because I have to ask, what Is wrong with our new floodlights? Yes they seem brighter, but for some reason they appear to have a flickering effect On the pitch.
Now I'm not sure If Its the lights that are flickering, Or the fact that the wind Is moving them Up on the pylons and that Is what Is causing the flickering effect.I think it needs looking Into as the old lights, while not so bright, did not have this problem.

I noticed that 2 of the bulbs on the pylon in the corner between the Pop stand and away end were distinctly dimmer than the rest. I think were need to get the installers back under warranty !

The flood lights were flickering quite badly and some are considerably duller than others which would suggest the local sports lighting company that fitted them took some short cuts in order to maximize profit. Normally the dimness of some and flickering of others suggests a power issue, whether it be they used the existing cabling or the transformer doesn`t match the power needed I don`t know but it all points to not enough current getting through to the lamps. I could well be wrong but with out testing the equipment I can only point out what might be wrong but believe me there is something definitely not right about those lights. If I did any work like that I would be expected to put it right with out any further cost to the customer!
