 All this self pity and wind bagging is getting a bit tiresome. Get off your arses, form a single issue political party and fight the incumbent councilor for your ward on this very issue. With your xenophobic views the BNP will probably sponsor you or maybe agree to stand aside and not oppose you in your political battle and then you have to campaign for some of that redundant industrial land or a disused holiday camp to be the subject of compulsory purchase and construct adequate Travellers Facilities that (after all ) THEY will have to pay to use anyway. Can't, can't cant........................whinge, whinge whinge ~ it's all getting a bit pathetic really Once that is in place you can genuinely expect the local authority and police to take appropriate action over the "trespass" you claim is going on at the moment, and really you know; areas that DO provide adequate Travellers Facilities don't get nearly as much of this problem of itinerant camps as those that don't....................end of story!  - how in the four cheeses on a quatro pizza is that xenophobic? I for one are not advocating burning their caravans to the ground, nor am I saying run them out of town courtesy of the Longstone Road Posse. Well, why don't you take some of your own advice (and no I can't prove what was that was what you said or when) SCROLL past these ' winging' and ' pathetic' posts. I can see why Jim has packed his bags. |

I can see why Jim has packed his bags. xenophobic................it is displaying your intolerance of an alternative lifestyle to yours. People who work for themselves and for cash won't be paying tax will they, they're not that bloody stupid. The laws of this land are passed on those who DO pay tax by politicians who themselves spend as much of their time and energy into minimising paying their own tax obligations as they possibly can...................now who are the stupid ones? I'm not bothered by Travellers and their way of life, YOU are so stop moaning and do something about it. I've shown you a way round your discomfort with these people on your doorstep, so put your money where your mouth is. If a self employed person who works for cash doesn't work he doesn't eat, he doesn't "work" for some state supported, non productive white elephant where he can willfully go sick with "man flu" every time Wimbledon comes around or sit at his computer screen dreaming of finishing time and STILL draw the same salary. I don't think Jim pack his bags due to the the views I hold, I reckon he packed his trunk  because he was exasperated by xenophobia and intolerance of alternative lifestyles aired on here. I can only speak for myself but will clearly state I have no problems with those who want to live a different lifestyle, my objection was only the way they go about it and by their actions the impact they have on others.
At the end of the day there has been far to much misunderstand on this thread and people having labels put on them unfairly.The post was also made after it was felt the thread should receive no more posts so that we can all just forget it and move off in a better direction.
Against the policy of this forum I am now locking this thread and please ask for the good of the forum and our friendships on here we just let this subject go and get posting on other things
