Well lets hope to get the three points from this game. TUAFC1 has just left Paignton to go to the England game and will then be staying up that way to go to the Rushden game on Sunday, sure romfordkev said he was going, so lets hope for plenty Of support at the game.
I would like to see us play with Sills up front with Thompson playing just behind as this has seemed to work well away from home, But we know Bucks could set up the team in a few different ways, so we will just have to wait and see.

A very tricky game today against quality opposition today at a venue we have never won! Also we are under a bit of pressure with the other top teams having won yesterday and we need something to keep in contact with the leaders! A loss would mean only 5 points from the last fours games Albeit against quality opposition and would be our first defeat in eight games ( damn statistics ) A win would see us move up the table again and put us in a good position when we play some of the lower ranked teams such as Lewes, Woking and Grays next month. I think it is a great time to be on an unbeaten run as it means at the very least our rivals aren't gaining points over us and for that reason I would take a draw. For this reason I would guess and agree with Dave that a 4-4-1-1 formation will be utilised with Thompson earning a well deserved recall in the hole. (He will be at least fresh and very much up for it.) Green and Benyon on the bench would give us various options as and when the match situation demands. It will be interesting to see who starts on the left wing as four different players could potentially play there.

I think it will be hard today. Hard, because we had to travel just 40 hours after our last (tough) game. Hard, because any game against a "Garry Hill" side guarantees a war of attrition; and hard because of our very poor record at Nene Park. Still, such "hoodoos" are there to be broken; and Robbo and Woods will have to steel themselves from a battering from Lee Phillips. The manager will need to devise a game plan that will outsmart his opposite number who has travelled long distances to watch us twice in the past few games (at Wrexham and Plainmoor on Thursday) and seen us line up two different ways............3-4-1-1 & 4-4-2. So will Bucks go with 3-5-1 or revert to another way? At least the accusation of only knowing one way is dead and buried once and for all and that can be laid at the door of the new arrivals, some of whom took a little time to bed in and thus brought the furore of criticism down on the manager's head. I'm looking forward to this one, should be fascinating!

I really think we should start with Carayol On the left and get him to run and attack as much as possible and get crosses into the box, we can always bring on Danny later In the second half should Carayol start to lose fitness.
Watching Nico playing at left back In recent games, I feel he should start, yes he lacks pace but he makes great passes and we need his dead ball kicks, plus his throw ins. So Sills up front and Thompson playing in the hole behind, Green or benyon to come On later If we need to get a goal, due to being behind.
What we don't want to do Is get any early lead and then start sitting to deep as we did against Oxford, It just invites pressure and that nearly always leads to the other team scoring against you.Ant was at the England game yesterday, we know that was not the best Of games but he did get to see six goals.
He will be at todays game and I'm sure he would settle for an entertaining game and TUFC winning and only one goal being scored. Lets hope we keep our run going with a good win and keep in touch with those around us, If only so that we can make Andy's charts show a real upward turn, that will give us the real chance Of going back into the football league.

Crikey Merse - if Buckle did go with the'3-5-1' then there would be some extra critisism from the fans!
On the (probably wrong!) assumption that everyone in the squad is fit today, I would swap Green for TT - give that bit of extra work rate (that Ive only seen from Green for the whole match in the Stevenage game).
Yep, a tough one today and no mistakes. I would certainly settle for a draw, but given the look of disappointment on the players faces after the match on Thursday night Im sure they will be determined to grind-out all 3. I have seen enough improvement over the last few games to believe that on our day we can match any team at this level - maybe today wont be our day, but Im sure we'll give it a good go.
Benyon was having a run around before the match on Thursday, although that doesn’t mean that he is close to playing just yet.

Crikey Merse - if Buckle did go with the'3-5-1' then there would be some extra critisism from the fans! Well, 3-5-1 worked perfectly well at Cambridge and I don't think the manager would incur the wrath of any of the fans who were there! As I said, he may decide to play something different to those games Garry Hill has been at or he may totally dismiss that theory. What is for sure is that we do now have several options open to us and we never know which way he will choose to go. What is also a factor and one which the manager would never disclose pre-match, is how much the legacy of Thursday's match injury or knock wise will affect his starting lineup.

Sounds like a very lively start - action at both ends! Unchanged side, Carlisle taking his chance from a Sills flick on Hope it is not time for the lads think about defending our lead and running down the clock etc. ;D

Lets hope the Rushdon manager loses his voice by halftime, we do not need to this be a game Of two half's as It was v Oxford.Lets get one more before half time.

Well two up at half time Is better than we may have dared hope for, with our record at Rushdens, It sounds like we are a bit guilty Of giving the ball away a little to often, lets hope Bucks gets that sorted out.
They just had a goal ruled out for Off side. I got this down In the prediction competition as a two to one win to us, just as I write this we have a goal ruled out as well for Off side.
Lets hope we come out In the second Half and just play the same way and that means not start sitting too far back. Great first half.

Certainly, that half went probably as well as could be hoped. Nice to see Carlisle on the score sheet again (particularly when he is wearing a Torquay shirt) and he could go a long way to making up the Zebroski goals from last season!! However, trying to take out Tim Sills mid way through the half is probably taking his competitive spirit too far ;D Can anyone see Thompson coming on??
