With Benyon out and Carlisle back I suspect that we will play with just two up front or one in the hole behind Sills. However, predicting the formation, let alone the side is somewhat problematic at the moment which is no bad thing.

Looking forward to this game as good memories from this fixture last year Got a feeling that there might be a few goals in this match. I also think Wroe is due a goal.

Looking forward to this game, especially if it is anything like last seasons games against Stevenage. At home they were lucky to get away with a 4-2 scoreline.

This was probably the best example i saw last year of why playing 'passing football' is not enough in this league.
Stevenage played the ball around, i don't think their keeper kicked it out from his hands all game, he always threw it to one of his defenders, who passed it sideways to another defender, who passed it sideways etc. There were actually times when they passed the ball between them and then passed it into touch.They had absolutely zero penetration when they did this. Both of their goals came about when it was lumped forward. If they were prepared to mix it about a bit more the result might have been different.

It has the possibilities of being a good game as they are usually a team who want to knock it around They also like to push forward, so it looks like there should be lots of space, several chances and a few goals (cue a 0-0).

I would hope that the crowd is closer to 3000 than 2000 based on the opposition and our last few results and performances, however i do not expect many more than 2000 as we do have a rather fickle support at times

It would be nice to get 3 points on Saturday and then another run of 4 successive wins would set us up nicely, bearing in mind who we play over the next 4/5 games.

sorry but i just have the feeling we will not win this game not often i get this feeling yet i do think we will win our two games after this one. hope we get some good singing and all the fans get behind the players from the start and do not get on their backs if they start slow. prove me wrong boys and get the win.

Football has been one of the main sufferers in the financial slowdown with crowds down across the board. I believe there are now only a handful of teams at any level who have not suffered, and those are the ones who sell a mass of season tickets anyway (Man Ure, Arsenal, etc). Horse racing attendances are also way down in case anyone was worried for the bookies, although the high street ones are opening shops in higher and higher numbers, so go figure!!

Only a couple of clubs who are either in a new higher division or performing well above what their local populus could have imagined are bringing in the crowds. Even Colchester, who have a new stadium to look at, are struggling to attract crowds because they are not performing well.

Add in the fact that we have barely played on a Saturday, have had our own struggles on the pitch, and have had a couple of our home games shown on TV, and the decline is no surprise at all.

People have far more important things to spend their money on at the moment, as it disappears from their pockets quicker than ever before, and it is econcomic fact that in such conditions it will always be 'leisure spending' that goes first.

Noticed the amount of pubs that are closing their doors as well? And that is not just down to the smoking ban, even if it did have an effect.

Sad to see that we are now out of the top 92 attendances. I hope that means we are not more of a Halifax / Rushden / Kidderminster than a Cambridge / York / Mansfield or a Colchester / Doncaster / Exeter.
