While this game will look on paper as a good chance to earn another three away points, I would expect that Northwich will make it a tough game as they fight to stay in the league, so good team selection and the correct tactics are the order of the day.
It sounded like we missed Mansell at right back, Robertson has never looked very comfortable in that position for me, so I would expect to see mansell starting there.
If Hodges is kept in defense then I would expect to see Ellis or Robertson on the bench, which one should it be? they both have some good qualities, but they also have some flaws in their game as you would expect for young learning players, but I think as much as I want Ellis to get games, Robertson for me would get the nod.
Someone said on here that Hargreaves was fantastic against Barrow, but the guys on the radio felt he should have come off in the second half as they claimed he looked like he was struggling, not there so can't say but I can't see Bucks not starting with him.
Stevens to start? it seemed he had a good game last Saturday, but he has started some games where he has failed to make an impact on the game, but maybe he as done well enough to get a another start, its on the right that will be interesting.
Will Dsane get his place back? if he does then we will see Carlisle on the bench, maybe he is now seem as a super sub, but I would like to see him start on the right and have Dsane on the bench.
Up front it has to be Sills and Benyon and Green I'm sure will only make the bench, but I hope he gets on in the second half as Its important to keep him involved and playing some part in our games.
I think we will win and I'm going for a two nil victory and if we do win, we would have had a good run of results that many other teams in the BSP would wish they could swap with.

Dave, I think the reason they were saying Hargreaves was struggling was because he got "injured" in the second half - looked like a possible groin injury at the time, but apparently he just "got one downstairs" according to Bucks' Radio Devon interview after the game. ;D

Thanks crispygull, what with trying to watch a match and keep those new type ear things in my ears to hear the match, I struggled at times to hear everything, plus why do people want to come and talk to you, ones you don't know and then you have to take out the ear piece and say Pardon I was back in the car before Bucks spoke on the radio, so did not hear what he had to say.

Stevens definitely deserves another start on the right and I think Bucks will bring Carlisle back into the starting line-up. He looked very sharp when he came on against Barrow. Having made a few cameo appearances in the "problem" left wing position that is where I would expect him to start.

Looking at Northwichs results at home they seem to lose by one goal each time and from the reports they gave Wrexham a hard game last night.
No errors can be made in this fixture it HAS to be three points and then the same against Grays next tuesday.
I reckon Bucks will go with this:
Bevan
Nicholson hodes Ellis Robertson
Carlisle Wroe Hargreaves Stevens
Benyon Sills
Subs: Mansell, Thompson, Green, Carayol, Dsane

Trying to understand Buckles selection process has been somewhat difficult. Would love to see Carlisle start on the left and stevens to start on the right...expect the exact opposite! Glad to see though that Benyon is starting to get more time on the pitch. A win of course is a must...........a one nil win will be fine!

....Looking forward to be my first trip to Northwich, it seems quite an easy place to get to.......just 240 odd miles straight up the M5/M6.
Any other forum members going? Any particular boozer being frequented?

It would have been Steve Woods "homecoming" mind you, he comes from the village of Lavenham on the town's outskirts.

It says in today's Herald that he was born in Stoke! Watch my lips Jerry.....................I said "he comes from" not "he was born in". My eldest daughter was born in Torbay hospital but she comes from Newton Abbot every bit as much as her younger sister who was born in Newton Abbot hospital. Anyway, it's Davenham not Lavenham!

Maybe the time has come to play Danny Stevens down the middle (where he played the early part of his career) with Greavsie and Wroe alongside him and 5 at the back (bringing back Manse at right wing back). He'd then have the chance to bomb on and score from the type of shot that got his important goal at Aldershot at the beginning of last season. I'd have enjoyed playing up front behind that midfield & attacking defence - wouldn't you?

I can't see Toddy being recalled to just sit on the bench so would be interesting to see who partners him in central defence. I thought he played well with Ellis last season but it really is a marginal decision. As has been stated above, we need the three points to have any chance of challenging Burton so would expect the line up to focus on the offence as opposed to the defence. I think having Stevens and Carlisle on the wings provides both balance and the right attacking options although wouldn't be overly surprised if a fresh Dsane is selected. I think Thompson will drop down to the bench for this match but wil return to bolster the midfield for those tough away matches. Sills and Benyon up front and Nicholson / Mansell at full back. As always, an earlyish goal will set us up for a good victory.
