With Histon winning tonight it sure makes the games and results this weekend very interesting indeed.
Histon v Kidderminster, you would not want to bet against Histon winning this game.
On Friday night Burton v Oxford, a Burton win and then even a defeat for us would leave us still in a play-off place, that is providing Histon do win, a draw and we would then drop out of the play-offs.
So its down to us to get the win.

I think we need to hope that Histon do win that game.
Kidderminster may be team which loses out for the play-offs:
A Histon A Stevenage H Kettering
If they lose both away matches then beat Kettering, this will leave us needing four points from our three games to make it. Doesn't sound too bad in that light.
On the other hand, if Stevenage lose to both ourselves and Kidderminster, that will see us home before the Burton game.
I think that's right, but it will certainly be a fascinating if nerve-wracking finale.

Histon will have won their midweek game against Weymouth ahead of the final weekend anyway so they were more or less certainties to get into the play-offs if they won tonight.
I think it is more or less between between us or Stevenage for the final spot - although I wouldn't rule-out Oxford completely - if they do make it, then they certainly will have deserved it. At least we are in a position to make that 3rd/4th spot ours. We don't need to look at any results but our own on Saturday - defeat and we have to go into the last two games and take 6 points.

We also have to hope Burton have the title wrapped up before they arrive at Plainmoor. If they're already celebrating promotion, whilst they will likely play with the kind of freedom that comes without pressure - i'd still prefer that than to face a side still fighting for the League. I think the chances of us going into that game with a Play-Off place already assured are unfortunately slim.

What an end to the season. Can anyone remember a utd season that fizzled out in mid table boredom with a handful of games to go? We just don`t do that.
It could be argued that if Stevenage or oxford make the play offs they are as good as promoted. So whilst a defeat on saturday wouldn`t end our play off hopes I fear it would realistically put an end to promotion. I would be more than happy with a draw.
I`m working so can`t make the game, hope those watching and listening can cope with what is bound to be a nerve jangling day.

I hope Cambridge win tomorrow then the title AND play-off places will hinge on Torquay v. Burton next Sunday. That would certainly mean that Setanta will be live at Plainmoor next Sunday and will make for an amazing occasion at Plainmoor.

Agree Phil, what a last game that would be. Off to Stevange today with a couple of the Hampshire Gulls. Fancy we'll pick up a point, today draw at Barrow and then beat Burton next week.

I'm surprised at the Betfair market for the league title this morning.
To lay Cambridge it is only 5.8 (nearly 5/1) but for them to win the league they need to beat Salisbury (A) and Alty and for us to beat Burton and thenhave a better goal difference. Surely the odds for this should be closer to 8/1.

If our playoff place is wrapped up by Tuesday night (big IF, as we are not always at our best on a Tuesday) and Stevenage draw at best, the pressure will truly be on a Burton side attempting their very first football league appearance.
Perhaps the BSP cup should be parked in a lay bye somewhere between Torquay and Cambridge and then motorcycled down depending on who's winning at half time.

Yes where the cup should be taken to must be a problem for the BSP to decide, I really still feel that Burton has won the title and only because of the goal difference. One would hope that the battling performance against Stevenage will be the one that we see at Barrow as we really need to get the three points and not make the last game a do or die game. This is TUFC and we all know we do not do things the easy way I'm afraid and I would not be surprised to see a nail biting final game, as long as get the points required in the end to claim a play-off place, I think we well might have to endure such a game again.

Don't Cambridge have to claw back 4 goals (in GD) - so if we beat Burton by the odd goal (possible) then Cambridge have to win by 4 goals - can't see it happening.

I couldn't see Crawely beating Burton 4 nil but somehow they did. Perhaps a 2 nil for us and 3 nil win for Cambridge on the last day would have received shorter odds.

Our goal difference is six better than Stevenage so a win for us and Stevenage draw or lose would effectively put us in the play offs! A draw for us would keep things in our own hands going into the final day regardless of that result. If we lost and Stevenage won then things would be very tight and a calculator and radio would be required next Sunday. Stevenage are away to Mansfield on the final day so not an easy fixture for them to end with either. Got a feeling we could be playing Histon at the end of the month. Would be ironic if it was Burton again.

... if it were Burton again then at least we would have beaten them twice in the last 3 weeks, and the force would be wth us ...
