Sorry mate but I think you might want to look back at the other thread, you,Jon and Merse were right at it. So please feel free to use this thread so the rest of us can stay out of it and get on with life, no offence but take a look at it from our perspective, you guys went miles off track and turned the other thread into God knows what!

I had hoped all this nonsense had been put to bed last night, but then I get treated to a post by merse this morning that I struggle to see why he felt he needed to make it. The funny thing in that merse made a post some four hours after our last away game and complained there were posts made on the forum, but none to do with the game that had been played that day.
There was a thread started last night about the new striker we have on loan, do we get any good posts made on that one? no it seems at 4:54 am, its better to stir up the thread again and push everything to the limit by getting too personal again.
The sad thing is by continuing down this road you just turn the forum into one no better than the one we all left, instead of good debate and challenging the views made by other members, you turn it into an old battle field and one I find very boring and so will all the people who love this forum for its normally excellent content, is that what you want Merse.
The Torquay Fans Forum welcomes all TUFC fans, as you know we are not open to away fans, all those that do join share the same love and that is TUFC. Many of the members on here were once on another forum, many still use both, while some are new to forums. I have found myself more than once having to explain to a member how some on the forum react to each other, its nearly always the same reason, disagreements when they were both members on another forum.
I said yesterday those that use forums will end up where they feel most happy, or where their style of posting may be better suited, its not for this forum to decide that for anyone.
Only those who join to try and harm the forum or simply cause problems will be removed from it,that has now happened three times, but anyone who joins to join in debate or just wants to read others views will always be welcome.
I will never take sides in any disputes, but I have read Shane's reply and while he has many views I would not agree with, I do believe he just wants to be part of any debates on here. He told me at the game on Tuesday that there are some very good debaters on this forum.
Short of running polls for you to vote in on what members should stay or go, I can only ask that members just stick to debating and not turning things into personal wars, as It is these types of wars that will ruin what is a good forum, you all made it good, so why spoil it now

Nothing wrong with reasoned argument just as long as you stick to what you are actually arguing about. When it slides down the slippery slope to a personal level and then childishly demeaning your opponent with innuendo and personal insults then it all becomes a complete waste of time and can make the those involved look petty and foolish. Time to respect other peoples views and we should all be able to post without fear of ridicule or insult and theirs nothing worse than hearing adulsts with handbags drawn arguing at distance!
Er ..um hope I haven't upset anyone there>>>>.
