Jim my mate was at the zoo the other day said there was only one giraffe, did the others not come, I know there was a delay for some health reason.

We still only have the one mate, we have two females lined up for him but DEFRA wont let us ship them over because they are in a bluetongue zone and we arnt yet. Hopefully we will be given permission to bring his ladies over soon.

I hope so poor chap, needs his oats, still not got over what happen, I went to see the baby when it was just one week old.
I only live around the corner and always go every year for me Sunday out of season lunch and entry ticket.
Must confess i Love the gorillas the most and spend hours watching them

Jim, after we got our first two big boys pertanak (spelt wrong) and I can't remember the others name, well you know they could not sort out who would be boss.
So a few years later I went to see pert at Bristol Zoo, but was told he was dead. Seems no one new he had bee ill for some time.

Heaven help you if Mike Bateson or Mervyn Benny get put in charge of things there, I can just see their reaction to you telling them the giraffe needs two females............. "Two?, and how much is a giraffe then Jim?" "Whaaaaaat, no chance - I've got a couple of parrots spare; can't you make do with those?" "When we had Leroy running things, he used to make do with a young one from Bristol Zoo or a youngster dressed up in a giraffe suit from the fancy dress store - now what's Richard doing?" "You've got to realise we're punching above our weight here Jim, with the crowds we get there should only really be a guinea pig and a couple of rabbits for them to look at" |

Merse do you like my balls ;D ;D With all the work you had on your plate setting the site up and then dealing with the problems with .net, if I had been in your shoes and someone had complained about the shade of yellow used;  I would have removed their balls! As ever, it's those who do nothing who cause extra work for those who do most!!!!  To answer your question.............yes I like your balls Dave - but I value mine more!  My evening attention at the moment is largely required for the rather tragic and unexpected passing of a young person rather close to me, and their forthcoming funeral arrangements for a week's time; so my postings will be somewhat reduced in number for a while. Merse sorry for delay in posting this( missed this post somehow) So sorry to hear your tragic news, death is not nice at anytime, its so much more tragic, when its a young person. You take care my thoughts are with you and I fully understand, but we hope you are not away too long, I miss the number one forum poster of all times. Sorry we do not give out Cups or Prizes. |
