Good to see members such as[glow=yellow,2,300] Dutchgull [/glow]& Cav listed Dutchgull is in our list, but had problems activating his account. It was before I gave up with auto activation and turned it off. I did try to help sort it for him, but sadly he gave up before I could. As he set it up before auto activation was turned of, he would need to try and activate it again,( it is working fine now I understand, after the problems proboards had with a major fire) or get me to delete it so he can just set it up again. I have not deleted it in the hope he just activates it. Some members show as not activated but these apart came on board after it was turned off. Now that it is turned off, if he emails me his date of birth, I will be able to set it up this end now, all Dutchgull would need to do is change the password I would give him to one of his own.

Hopefully someone will be able to get hold of dutchgull to inform him. Maybe a PM to him on .net... or would that be taking the pee too much?

Good to see members such as Dutchgull & Cav listed Yes, this seriously IS the quality site; comparison with dross net just doesn't add up! Sooner or later the other site will get so banal that one would think that people would stop bothering looking at it..............or maybe not eh! I might be wrong, but I would imagine that most of the 120 or so members of this site are just interested in matters Torquay United.........rather than petty feuds and site politics. Some have obvious issues - rightly or wrongly - I don't know and don't care! Dave R did not like the way the other site was going and moved on by doing something about it - Fair play - I think, and hope, that once the season starts both sites flourish - there is room for both in my opinion and most fans will lurk accordingly.......without feeling the need to refer back to other sites or critisise the standard of written English of a person about to go to University, just because they post on the other site. Move on. Otherwise you'll end up rocking on your sofa going wibble.........or worse still, getting wound up about how grammar and University standards were far better in your day.

I fully agree with you Enzo, this site is not and must not become an anti .net site, it was not set up for that reason, it will run in a different way and I hope people just get on with posting on the forum about TUAFC that after all that is why we belong to forums

Merse has kept to his word on the forum and not mentioned any member of the .net staff, since I asked him not too. His post today is fair, because some have felt it OK to poke fun at him, when in fact it seems they were wrong to do so.
So lets all move on and getting talking about TUAFC

Don't claim to speak for other people on somewhere you have been given the freedom to speak for yourself Enzo. I care when I am misquoted and gagged from responding. You can be as sarcastic and condescending as you like on here, and I don't care if you are - that is what this forum is all about..............freedom of speech and a trust in the posters not to abuse that freedom. You're opinion is no more, no less valid than mine. Yes I agree, let's move on.

the cake stuffing, clock watching recipient of a public money funded salary at an education establishment to boot, who cannot spell SETANTA) Oi! That's my mate you're talking about. He has an excellent standard of spelling and grammar because he went to school in the olden days. Poor form for SG to have a dig at you on a forum where you can't defend yourself. That's just not cricket! I do wish both of you would drop it. Can I get you two together in Boots and bang your heads together? (Yes, I know he started it on this particular occasion!)

Yeah, I know Phil (Chelstongull) you introduced us Jon sure wish I could spend my day at work on dross net and get paid for it though - there again.......................

I agree with comments about freedom of speech and trust. Where is the line drawn though? Even discounting your latest provoked spat, can you see how some of your comments over the last six weeks have been little more than settling old scores and attempting to undermine other TUFC sites? There appears to be freedom of speech alongside a trust that this site is not used to undermine dot.net - do you think some of your previous posts have respected this? I'd like to see both sites complement each other rather than seek to undermine with petty comparisons about age, spelling, standard of education, subject matter..............I asked an admin person on the other board to post a link to this forum rather than just pretend it does not exist. It fell on deaf ears. Shame. To be called sarcastic and condescending by one who uses such classics as "dross net" is an honour! I am a mere apprentice to the master!

It's funny how the "other" site seems to now have very little moderation and threads such as this. Some of the threads over there may be a bit "lightweight" (But a few seems to be repeated word for word on here), but there is now next to no slagging matches.
Conicidence?
