First game with Wotton in charge and a chance to see the majority of the squad for the first time in a yellow shirt, Ground opens at 5pm with various food and refreshments available. With training starting later this week gives the squad a couple of weeks to begin to get that understanding together. Tickets are on sale now and potentially could be a sellout- link

(Last time out 2 years ago) Good pay day for Buckland, average attendance last year, 258, highest 480. Wonder if we can better that? Edit : ground capacity may now be 1000.

Edit : ground capacity may now be 1000. Really. I can see quite a few people being turned away as I expect a lot of Torquay fans are gagging to see the new management in action.

Two tickets purchased today. Hope to get back into attending more live matches this season after two seasons of being totally disillusioned by what the club had become under Osborne and co. Should be a pleasant evening at a welcoming and forward thinking football club and also having a personal connection with one of the original founders Gerald Heath, a good friend and former work colleague who sadly lost his life in a tragic industrial accident, and personally being involved in pumping out in the 1980's/90's what was an old flooded clay pit back more or less where, Homers (Homers Lane) Heath (Gerald Heath) the Buckland Athletic football ground stands. Just a five minute walk away for me and my brother in law . Looking forward to it.

Yep, Torquay shirt anyway. Any news, peeps etc of the new shirt(s)? Coming pretty soon, the club shop opens on Wednesday so they need something to sell! - linkI know the women ordered theirs about 10 days ago and assume the men would be well in advance of this. Think there may be an event to launch this soon.

Our first game under a Labour government since 8th May 2010 v Notts County which was our seventh consecutive clean sheet. After another three clean sheets at the start of the following season we created a new club record of 998 minutes without conceding a goal. Anyway events elswhere have heightened expectations and its a case of getting yourself from Buckland to Berlin in 48 hours !

First game of pre season just a few hours away. With just a few players most of us will recognise from last term Identifying the bulk of the squad is going to be a bit tricky. No doubt a few unnamed trialists will be on show for this one . Pitch/game time now essential for a squad full of strangers who need to gell quickly, more so than I can ever recall. Like to think we have some wingers/flare players lined up. Losing Archer to Cheltenham was a big loss IMHO and who was improving with every match he played.
The last time I felt quite so positive was in pre season during Buckles time and watching and being impressed with the signings he made at coach rd in pre season.

Just remember that England have only ever won a major trophy under a Labour Government! 1908 and 1912 were under Asquith’s Liberal government.
