Good for Lovett to get a game.
Interesting that Collins got the nod to replace Ash.
I was just thinking Pearce will be p***ed off but then he got his chance due to an injury to Jarvis.
TWO strikers replaced. It’s like being a proper football club!
Johnson stressing that Jarvis was compos mentis when he came off. He doesn’t want him ruled out by the concussion protocol.
Winning promotion is everything this season, but I am sure the coffers desperately need that boost that an FA Cup run can provide.

Jarvis was very still on the ground for a few minutes so good news but the Wimborne player who missed the ball completely and went into Jarvis. After he had headed the ball, came off worse and had to be supported by two people as he was walked straight back to the changing rooms.
Pity that Jarvis went off when he did as Pearce had a great opportunity to head a bouncing ball over their keeper, but tried to use his foot and the chance went begging. Lapslie seemed to play in a more advanced position after Jarvis went off and got on the end of a good through ball to slot it pass that keeper. Collins also hit the bar from a long range shot. To be fair to Wimborne, they gave it a good go in the second half and TUFC seemed happy to soak up the pressure without conceding too many chances. Job done and onto the next round.

First things first, what is that shirt this guy is wearing, which is a million times better than the one we play in! I have a baaaad feeling about this game… It comes to something when you have a fear of playing a team like Wimborne Minstrel…still, nothings Black or White. A couple of changes in the team, keeper etc, but after all it’s only the FA Cup and I’m sure we’ll play our strongest team when the real competition starts. |
