Thirty years ago, our reserve team finished seventeen points and seven places ahead of Chippenham in the Western League.
Counts for nothing now. I make them favourites.

Only one man is responsible for this mess and if another defeat hastens his departure i wont complain. I dont blame the players they just do as they're told to the best of their ability and must be as shocked as the rest of us at how poor we were on Saturday. Likely they will pay better and with more pride this evening and a positive result will only serve to mask the major issues in defence and midfield areas that have needed bolstering for two seasons. Strengthening the back line should have been the main priority and still persisting and having to rely on Asa's 'old legs to control the midfield was always going to be exposed by quick younger players at some point. Proper football people would have ambition and made changes by now but then again the scenario is almost identical to when Garry Owers made such balls up in this division when they soon made a change for Johnson but just look at the players he inherited, just compare it too what were puting out now. Change is way overdue and we all know where the buck stops.

As I have been talking a load of arse on another thread, I thought I would now turn my attention to this one.
Gary Johnson has now become an immovable object, though on saying that he has actually been one for a couple of years now.
That’s it really, not much else a person can say because until that situation (Gary Johnson) changes, we are like Captain Smith on the Titanic.

...was always going to be exposed by quick younger players at some point. The sort of quick younger players that Gary Johnson employed when he took us out of the NLS last time. It's become a paradox that this side is weak and exposed to exactly the team he built five years ago. Has he not noticed that not only has football progressed since then but his tactics have regressed over the same period? |

Be interesting to see who is fit.
Tomlinson could do with being taken out of the firing line.
Hanson, Crowe, Marshall and Martin ready to come in to help McGavin turn things around?

Martin, Marshall and Lapslie in. Craske, McGavin and Jenkins Davies out.
Could be 4-4-2 with Donnellan right back. Could be 3-5-2 with Collins behind the front two.
Crowe on to the bench. Moxey, Craske and McGavin out of the 16.
How long will Lapslie and Hall last?
