, OUR manager DOES know how to conduct himself and maximise his tactical influence over the team during a game instead of peering in from the outside like some naughty kid or having to issue humble apologies for making a tit of himself. Merse, I'm not asking for Paul Buckle to run up to the away manager and throw him up in the air in celebration, I'm not even asking that he does cartwheels down the whole length of the pitch when we score. I do not want him jumping over the fence and hugging all the male fans and start kissing all the lady fans and then give out sweets to the children. All I felt was needed was for 10 seconds, yes just 10 seconds to display some sort of pleasure, excitement, anything to show that the goal meant so much. If when we score this Saturday, I think you'll see him jump about a bit Dave!

It is not just about "external" emotion - often put on only for the cameras! (thank so called reality television perhaps). I personally think that if a Manager has to get so animated, he has not done his real job on the training ground. When you listen or talk to "Bucks" after a game, there is no doubting either his emotion or dedication!

I think he has to do what feels natural to him. If he wants to jump and celebrate a goal, all well and good. But if he'd rather concentrate on the next objective, than acknowledge the present one, that's fine too.
Roy Keane at Man Utd once said something along the lines of not actually enjoying his trophie wins at Old Trafford that much, as by the time he'd achieved them, he was looking for the next one. Similar sort of mentality, and it worked out well enough for him...

Well it seems its only me who thinks Bucks should show some more emotion when we score, I think most of you are right really and it does not really matter that much. Thinking about it I have seem other managers on TV games who have not even moved a muscle in their face when their team has scored. Still maybe its something he can work on for when we win promotion in our last game of the season, surely a winning goal in that sort of game must force a reaction.

Well Paul did not have any goals to celebrate at the Coventry match but I did notice something I have not seen him do before. He was at times joining in with the many synchronised clapping sequences and he seemed to have been in good time with the fans. Well done Bucks I hope your still working on the celebration dance.
