Not a great deal of mention for the new players, but even the threat of actually having a striker has done the trick.
Did we play with three up front?
Someone on this site used to bang on about playing with three up front (indeed he put up the idea of many interesting formations other than 4-4-2) and as the Law of Averages (some people say that the Law of Averages doesn’t exist but I’m sticking with Einstein) states, if you have three strikers you have more chance of scoring…just like having an extra Willy.
