..... and I think a New Year stuffing in leafy Somerset will reinforce that feeling of gloom. With the left overs making up a bubble and squeak for Taunton to finish off.

Our issues run far deeper than the manager and we all should be looking past the smoke screen and more at the bigger issues that concern the very existence of our football club. We all look at the problems, scratch the surface and typically choose the easy target when the bigger issues are hidden from public view. The smoke screen is beginning to clear now though so would suggest we all open our eyes . Massive debts have been allowed to accumulate and there has been little interest in where we're going on the pitch and as a football club. The front man is doing a fantastic job of protecting those behind the scenes and who have business motives so I wouldn't expect any changes in that direction other than further decline. At any other football club you would hear rallying cries and more dramatic changes so its pretty obvious to me where were going and why and why an excellent manager is willing to forsake his reputation for his masters.

Looks like it's not going to be a Happy New Year then petef. Sadly...I fear your analysis may not be far from the truth.

I hope the Gaffer made the team watch the Villa v Liverpool game, a master class in passing by Liverpool, and to their own players. I heard that the Yeovil 'keeper shook the hand of the Steward who gave him th eball quickly to enable them to equalise Is that Goodwins last game for us, heaven help us if it is. Apologies to the club if I have missed the update on loan players & injuries (Martin, Hall & Ellis, going back?). Johnson got a red card, does anyone know what for? Durkin is a clown and shouldn't anywhere near a football game, but he was bad for both sides.

A game of two halves.
In the first half, Yeovil were so terrible that they almost made us look good even though we weren't.

Wyatt had no chance of being match fit. Did o.k. first half. It was very obvious his race was run long before he was finally substituted.
Got away with the Evans / McGavin midfield two whilst Yeovil were utterly hopeless, but got found out when they finally woke up.
Lapslie would have started had he been fit - which he clearly wasn't.
I was not too upset when Crowe was sent off. I am not his biggest fan. He goes missing all the time when on the pitch, so not much difference when he officially goes missing. Means we can field eleven on New Year's Day.

Crowe is somethihg of an enigma....he looks like he has some ability..but looks out of position at full back. Our answer to Trent Alexander Arnold?
