When has a Time Traveler ever been wrong? 🕰️ I reckon your time traveler hit reverse by mistake and got sent back to 1998. Could of been the woman but equally could of been the bloke before her, he was fecking useless too. Goodness, this is another thing we agree on…David Tennent…proper Dr Who! I think the title of this thread needs to be changed to TIT!

At least we didn't lose on penalties... In a way we did, as that penalty miss was integral to the outcome.

The All Blacks (probably the most successful national team on the planet) prepare for a game by doing the Hakka…and look like they want to tear your arms and legs off! 🧌
The England football team (who haven’t won anything for over half a century) prepare for a game by kneeling…and look like they’re putting on nail polish! 💅
If anyone is still wondering why we lost last night…I hope this helps. 🐮

"The England football team (who haven’t won anything for over half a century) prepare for a game by kneeling…and look like they’re putting on nail polish! 💅If anyone is still wondering why we lost last night…I hope this helps. 🐮" Blind Pew.. while I rarely agree with your views I do commend you for being both entertaining and thought provoking. Re the England team... while I have no objection to any team " taking the knee" I do agree that England seem very timid at the start of games. For all the talk of being " good enough to win it" we also start out as if we expect our opponents to be better than we are. The games against both France and USA are prime examples. It is as if all England shirts come with an inferiority tag.As games progress we seem to realise we are better than we thought we were, but often by this time it is too late. No doubt we will look back on this W.C as a huge missed opportunity. I have my own theory about why England teams have such a collectively low self-image - it stems from everyone in the UK outside of the Royal family being referred to as "commoners" and the fact that the majority of our players come from " working class" backgrounds. People who consider themselves "common" tend to win nothing-you have to believe you are a bit special. Re the All Blacks haka.. again I have no objection to them doing their "party piece", but I do not think their opponents should be obliged to be on the pitch to stand around waiting for them to finish. Do the haka for the fans before the teams run out to start the game.

So the World Cup goes out with a bang, but spare a thought for the poor French guy who scored four goals in that final…and still lost! 😬

Geoff Hurst was the first to score a hat trick as if they weren’t over the line they wouldn’t count. Bleddy bell end (McCoist!)
