Two goals in 87 minutes with Moxey on. Two goals in three minutes with Omar on. At that rate, if weâd played 87 minutes with Omar on, it would have been 58-0. I donât know, he may have popped up with a header at the right end to make it 58-1 complete with ânice blokeâ fist pumps. Conceding as soon as he comes on seems somewhat standard. Signing two centre backs on loan rather tells the story of how his contribution has been assessed.

Omar has had his chance to impress but like one or two others switches off at crucial times we can no longer afford to wait for consistency from certain individuals. Its essential from here on that we STOP shipping goals for fun and try and build something from a better defensive foundation. Its been clear for a long time the game GJ wants to play is not working. We simply do not have enough quality in attack or in attacking midfield areas. Surely he has to now have a rethink on tactics with solidity and defensive shape the priority... despite the result today he may already has or i would at least like to think so.

Oh well I suppose we were always going to lose this match.
4 home games in a row coming up. Surely the turning point of the season?
I suppose the only sticking point is that since we last won at home we have had 2 Monarchs, 3 Prime Ministers, 4 Chancellors of the Exchequer .... and Watford have had 3 managers!
I hope my fortune cookies have better news next year! â˝ď¸

One of the things (games) you have to do in life, knowing full well whatâs going to happen. Itâs like going with a woman you know has the clap, you know whatâs going to happen, but you still have to do it!
The days of TUFC beating NC are long goneâŚmaybe permanently, maybeâŚ
Every game we play now against bottom half teams are the proverbial âsix pointersâ, because we sure as shit ainât gonna beat any teams in the top half!
Aldershot Tuesday nightâŚGod help us! đ

Just watched the highlights. Very little to be upbeat about and no wonder GJ looked deflated once again in interview. He keeps trying and looking for answers but has found none. It all really needs a fresh pair of eyes on our defensive frailties imho whatever that may mean as were going around in circles getting nowhere at te moment. Same mistakes we witnessed a week ago free shots from outside of the area and no player closing down. Mostly sat too deep in front of the keeper and too much ground to cover before the attacker shoots. Midfield is as much to blame a slow and a ponderous Asa Hall and McGavin dont help matters. Results such as this week after week will just drain confidence and belief even further and dont feel the signs were acknowledged early enough and corrected, and i mean during pre season games when it was pretty obvious to me how the standard had plummeted. I guess garry being garry started believing his own hype in thinking that he could turn any young footballer with a little potential into top performing gem in a couple of months. Reckon the reallity of the situation has hit him hard now and he looks drained, frustrated and devoid of answers. When your squad numbers are up to 39 on the shirt and only have four on the bench just a third into the season you know you have massive problems.

We are fast becoming this season's Dover, in fact it is hard to see where our next 3 points is coming from. We can all have our opinions about who is to blame but facts are that we are the worst team in this division currently and I see very little, if anything, to suggest we won't be relegated this season. The NLS will become our natural home, probably followed by part-time status.

4-5-1 says Woodsy but not sure who where. They never did say who was playing wide right in the midfield five. The usually reliable Torquay Talk reckons it was 3-5-1-1. torquaytalk.com/2022/10/30/tt-match-verdict-notts-county-4-0-tufc-by-dan-elliott/Dave Thomas, not usually a reliable source, thinks it was 4-5-1 with Smith wide right. www.torbayweekly.co.uk/torquay-united-swept-aside-at-notts-county/Not for the first time this season, I have been unable to find out how we lined up away from home. Canât wait until streaming restarts so I can see for myself. Lots of moaning on social media about how we always play a back three, when we have regularly chopped and changed between a back three and a back four - sometimes changing mid-game. To state the obvious, players do not stand in the same place all the time. When you play a back four, it is quite normal for one full-back to overlap and the remaining three defenders to shuffle across into a three. When you play 3-5-2 it is quite normal for one of the five to drop back and the back three shuffle across to make a four. If you watch closely, you can observe what the base formation is. If you just look once or twice, you risking seeing the temporary shape, not the base formation.

When you play 3-5-2 it is quite normal for one of the five to drop back and the back three shuffle across to make a four. Which is exactly what Bill Canning was trying to instil in us TBGS lads during 1970s Games when football was allowed*. If the right back attacks, everyone shifts over to cover a break should possession be lost. *I say "when football was allowed" because the games masters (Dave Golder, Tony Stayte) would much prefer us to be engaged in rugby or cross-country than prancing around with a round ball...
