Thought Olaf played well, good to see a beefed up forward. Also a mention to number 22 who came on for Martin, good bit of speed in him.
Who would have thought that you could pay on the day with a card machine - hopefully TUFC will follow.
Not the same without Jon.

Useful work out with Buckland matching us for fitness and physicality. Thought McGavin and Crowe stood-out and Koszela put in a shift.

Talk of former Wimbledon forward Corie Andrews at Buckland last night. Played on loan at Aldershot before Christmas and scored nine in twenty appearances. Impressed many at Aldershot and sound gutted he could be signing for us.

Impressed many at Aldershot and sound gutted he could be signing for us. Think he could do a job for us and maybe with Jarvis, Evans and Koszela then strike force sorted? Torquay talk have also identified the trialists as Rhys Lovett in goal, Marcus Day (22) and Ollie Tomlinson (D)

Swansea youngster who spent last season on loan at Waterford in Ireland. uk.soccerway.com/players/cameron-james-evans/453039/

Later amended to 1,211 after they counted the takings. Where they went horribly wrong was in making it far too easy for fans to attend. It is almost as if they actually wanted them to come. With some sound advice from United’s Crowd Prevention Department, I am sure they could have kept the gate down to a more manageable 300 or so. You don’t want to make it easy for fans to get in, or they will start turning up in numbers and getting in the way of those who are trying to run a football club. Sort it out Buckland! Learn from the professionals.

They really want to be careful, or they will find it hard to lose money if they carry on like that.

‘Sort it out Bateson!’ How many times have I heard those words fired across the Plainmoor pitch… probably said it myself on a few occasions. What we didn’t understand, was that Bateson was doing exactly that…sorting the club out. So after many years of stability, Bateson left with a knowing smile. Then we had the Spice Girls…well, they were all Wanabees! Then it was the lottery winners turn, but what they didn’t realise was that you have to win the lottery every week to run a football club! Now we have Sharkey, and relative stability has returned. Yet still we have people who shout across the Plainmoor pitch not realising what we have, and as the old saying goes…be careful what you wish for!
