While this is a game we should be looking to win to keep drawing closer to the play off zone, our previous Dover game took a last minute winner from Little to take all three points at Plainmoor back in November when we were on a poor run a form. (He was still being booed then!) After a big loss against Solihull Moors, Dover have certainly tightened things up with three 1-0 games in a row, winning against Eastleigh and losing against Southend and Stockport with the latter struggling to score against 10 men. link - some positive news in Devon live with both Wright and Little not as badly injured as feared, both close to returning and potentially could even be fit for this game. Little scored both goals for us in the Dover win and will be a big plus but with Hall and Lapslie back we do have some cover in that area. Up front is more of a concern, some rumours of Sinclair being back but we will shall see. Dover have a young side not helped by the suspension of Myles Judd in the Stockport game but they do seem to move be more compact playing a 4-5-1 formation while defending and with three upfront with possession so suspect this will be another tight game. Their goal seems to be to end up with a positive point total so to some extent the pressure is off with such a low bar to get over and we will need to put in another good performance to come away with all three points and our fifth away win of the season.

This game could define our direction of play through to the end of the season. A powerful performance and taking three points back to Devon will raise the thoughts of a dalliance with the playoff zone.

I am certain that I am not alone in hoping Sinclair returns to Plainmoor.

If Little and Wright both out, either Lolos or Holman to start ..... unless we have a new (or old) loanee.

link - listening to the game on radio Kent - describing Torquay as the best side they have seen this season and then Dover have equalised from a corner.

So halftime and scores are level.
Apparently first 25 minutes we were so dominant that the radio Kent commentary team were quite apologetic that they had equalise and said it was not deserved.
Dover seem to come back into it a bit more after the goal but again we have missed some good chances as well.
All to play for in the second half….

I feel the challenge for the play offs is on now though how strong a challenge without a regular goalscorer remains to be seen. Good result when you consider Stockport and one or two others have found Dover very resilient of late. GJ has worked out his best starters now and its paying dividends. Good to see Danny back he may be crucial in the coming months- the rumours of Sinclair Armstrong appear to be unfounded.
