A tough game today against Hollywood backed Wrexham who now have the spending power to wrest players like Paul Mullins away from league one Cambridge after he scored 32 goals in their league 2 promotion season winning in the process EFL league 2 player of the season. All things considered though they probably haven’t done as well as they should have with just 4 wins so far and actually a win for us today would see us leapfrog them in the table although they are yet to lose at home the season with two wins and two draws so far…..
With three new additions in the last fortnight our squad seems to be slowly improving addressing the weaknesses up front, in defence and out wide which shows how far short our recruitment fell during the summer. Injuries haven’t helped and we really need at least one of either Lapslie or Hall back to bolster the midfield. Personally would only play two up front as the side looked far better set up after Holman was substituted and maybe the youth of Lolos and Armstrong is the way to go? COYY!

Well looks like the FA got out of gear and Mullins (whoever he may be! 😉) is suspended following a sending off during midweek which was a case of mistaken identity. Apparently he is quite good so may be positive for us, though the news all week has been setting Wrexham up nicely for a fall! 😉⚽️ Absolute nailed on certainty that the guy who was incorrectly suspended originally will now score the winner. Still, will take the suspension of their best striker with justice being served. Wonder if Wright will be back on the bench today? TUFC preview

Pleased to see justice done re the Wrexham ban.
Would be interesting to hear whether that process was all in place anyway or if the efforts of Nick Brodrick from TUST helped push it through.
Not surprised Wrexham kept quiet, but you can bet they would have appealed if it had been the other way round. Would be nice if they had done the right thing by bringing it up themselves, but how often do professional football clubs refuse to take advantage of refereeing incompetence in the real world?
As has been said, would be just our luck if Hosannah scores the winner.

Bit disappointed with that. Hall and Andrews not in squad. Lapslie only on bench. Same starting lineup as last week. Could have done with one of the three above as an extra man in midfield. Omar, Addai and Moore join Lapslie on the bench. No room for O’Connell or Rogers.

Luke Young has come back from injury much quicker than expected and is on the bench for Wrexham.
If it isn’t a last minute winner from Hosannah, it could be a last minute thirty yarder from Legendary Luke.

No pressure on us it's all on Wrexham - lets see how we can perform against the Holywood big spenders. Not expecting an awful lot but any sort of result will boost confidence.

Need to hang on in there now. Dangerous period as they have got their tails up. Big crowd behind them.

p.s. half-joking in calling Young and Woods legends. Semi-legends maybe, but not quite up there with Nicholson, Mansell and Hargreaves.
