I think youre being generous there rjd, we didn't deserve anything from that and Bromley were pretty much coasting for most of that second half. Agree we didn’t deserve anything but we were still better in the second half, although as you say Bromley didn’t need to push so hard…..

It's all become rather predictable unfortunately with one flash in the pan against a poor Wealdstone side last week falsely raising hope. I watched the first half an hour today and gave up just before half time as I have a huge a mount of painting to do. Watching the paint dry was far more interesting than watching that performance. Too many players not performing or up to the standard required but we all knew that didn't we?
Gary knows hes made some poor signings - hes more or less come out publicly and admitted it but I cant see how he can resolve things quickly and the lower we stoop the harder it will be to attract decent players. The high tempo pressing game doesn't suit this group any more so hes adjusting the tactics and hoping for the best but with such a weak defence I fear there will many more performances like this before any corner is turned. Not sure where all of his contacts are at the moment with very little news on squad strengthening but I understand his caution after a dismal group of players signed i the close season.
Gone is the CONSISTENT high pressing, high tempo game. Gone is the player flair and match winners. Gone is the quick incisive passing game. Gone is the solid defensive partnership.
I just feel GJ is just clutching at straws and hoping for the best at the moment.

There are degrees of shite and still better than the first three home games. I think Bromley felt sorry for us, that’s why they didn’t score anymore. I thought that we were shite against Woking and equally shite today!

Of course, nobody on this site needs reminding that there are significantly more players available in the summer than there are in September/October/November. GJ had his chance and has blown it. The only available players now are those who are out of contract or no longer wanted by their current clubs. None of which are likely to be an improvement on what we already have. If Pete Johnson is employed to scout and recruit quality players, what on earth has he been doing since, say, January?! Or there are loans!

Out for the day and watched it later without knowing the score.
I had said we needed four points from these two games to sit mid-table, but would have been more than happy with two or three points. Not totally surprised we got zero points but very disappointing that we did not even threaten to pick up a point.
Did not see the BW game but imagined how it was - and this one was exactly as I had imagined the other. You could twist all the ifs and buts to justify a point if..., but the fact is that Bromley won at a canter. They looked like they could have moved up a gear if they needed to but they did not need to as we never really threatened. Suspect Boreham Wood did the same.
We were not as actively awful as we were against Woking, but we lacked anything positive. Good goals from Bromley but we did not look like we busted a gut to stop them and did not look like we busted a gut to pull one (let alone two) back. Not with bang but a whimper.
Not good enough. Must do better.
