What is our injury update - fair few out now? Johnson mentioned lots of niggles so hopefully no one is out for any length of times but players that weren’t risked for yesterday were Slough, Martin, Lapslie, Hall and you can add Omar to that now. Take out the 2 first year pros and that leaves 12 fit assuming any of them haven’t picked up a niggle as well. Tiverton game could be interesting as surely more emphasis on the Chippenham game in match preparations. |

The sub who came on up front was Dan Holman. Scored a shed load of goals for Gary Johnson at Cheltenham in 2015/16 but has done nothing since. Released by Brackley (where he was a fringe player) a year ago, joined Kettering but then retired. Would not have thought he is what we are looking for.
Saw him shopping at Sainsburys this morning, so definitely is him.
Subtly tried to attract his attention in the car park but don't think he heard me:

The no 17. Not seen any thoughts who he is. Hope he is not a retired ex-Cheltenham player. Suggestion that no.14 (the most likely of the three) might be Chiori Johnson who came through the ranks at Arsenal and Bolton but has been at Welling. More the kind of young player with some pedigree who could be keen for another shot at the full-time game. |
