Here are the results from the Prediction League Cup 1st Round. The code reads as follows: Green = Last years Runner Up... Red = Non League Players... FP = Fail To Predict. There were only three ties so i will not type all of them.

Sadly of the 12 games to predict on, EIGHT were called off and the other involved Chesterfield who were reinstated to the FA Cup midweek too late to change the fixtures. A low scoring set of results; last years runner up crazyfool gets through in a tight 1-0 game. gullsdiv2 failed to predict and that means Non League ricardo goes through to the 2nd Round. Also pcm eases past dartgull. Please pm me if YOU have checked your scores and find an error with my tally. It shouldnt happen but as im using adding up i may rarely make a mistake. Weekly winners in red, also see the Role of Honour thread. Any equal scores will be seperated by who got the higher score this week then..the amount of 3's and if needed 1's you got. Remember we are playing for the overall title season long of Champion Of The Prediction League & also a Golden Boot for the overall highest weekly score. Considering FIVE of the games were called off not a bad score amount by a lot of predictors today. FIVE YES FIVE got the highest score this week with 11, and that was 3x3/2x1: they were leader tufc01, rivieralou, Jerry, harrogategull and chipnicker1. Well done to all of you. The Golden Boot is still being shared between JimD, rivieralou and tufc01 with 18. Well done to tufc01 who's lead extends. Well Done to petef who got 10 and nickgull and dazgull who got 9: astonishing really as dazgull had a Default Score of 2-1 on all and STILL got 9. Well Done TUAFC1 who reached 100. Well Done to pcm who gets promoted to Division Two in place of the Resigned tufcwewillbeback. Fail To Predicts from andygulls, bhamgull who i have counted as a Resigned as i have had no contact, evertoned and eddyh. The NON counting Torquay v Blackpool score was as follows: 3 Points : bbcgull (typical), 1 Point: DaveR, rivieralou, dartgull, chipnicker1, TUAFC1, scottbrehaut, nickgull and dazgull, 0 Points and FP's for the rest. And to tie up some old news!!!! The rest were 0 Points or FP's. i am going tomanke an annoucement now: I love this site and love doing the PL and PLC as i love all the series i post and general posting. I have no problem with anyone on here so this is purely as it reads. I will be standing down running the Prediction League next season. Why? and why so early in the year. Well firstly the League IS a success but my format of season long which i still think is a good idea has seen a number of Fail To Predicts get higher over ther last month and i am wondering if it cos lower league people think that is not worth it. Again i have no problem, with anyone but if i allow someone else to do what they want with the PL next season and run it how and which ever way format wise then maybe they will get a better result. I know it is not that bad however i would happily like someone to do it better. I WOULD however like to still run the Prediciton League Cup next season if the new person will let me. I will continue doing all i can this year to make it as professional as poss for all of you. Thanks for your support. bbcgull
