After the high of the away win at Sutton and a week’s rest we now travel to Woking, a club but that have been rivals and will not roll over, despite being walloped 4:0 by Wrexham on Saturday. This also starts a tricky period for us of five games in 13 days or six games in 18 days before the relative tranquil pace of three games all a week apart to finish the regular season. So we reach the last of those 6 games after a very successful run yielding a further 13 points from those 5 games putting us clear at the top and in with an excellent chance of winning the league, something that just did not seem achievable pre-Johnson. Not that anything is won yet but the players seem to be in a very good place and all those injuries has meant using the squad and the team consequently still look fresh and capable of winning any game they play. For the third match in a row we play the team occupying the last play off place and desperate to consolidate their position. Bromley are in a rich vein of form and haven't lost in their last 4 away matches impressively winning at Chesterfield, Halifax and Woking with a 0-0 draw at Stockport. They also beat Hartlepool 1-0 at home on Monday although had the advantage of no game on Saturday. Player to watch out for is Michael Cheek who is their leading scorer by some way. Our injury crisis looks to be easing with Little coming off the bench and Kimpioka starting on Monday and Lewis, Cameron and Whitfield reported to all be very close to fitness. Suspect that Johnson may stick more or less with the winning team he has though with Boden likely to start alongside Waters as both strikers are hitting form and possibly Lewis, if fit, coming in for Warren after missing just the last weekend's fixtures to resume his successful pairing with Sherring. We played Bromley very early on in the season, just after we lost against Eastleigh before we really started to click but despite putting in a good performance and being the better side, needed an injury time Wright penalty to win the game. Hopefully we won't have to rely on "Gary-time" and do the business beforehand as a win would really put us in the box seat and give us a bit of breathing space as things are currently too tight to call.....

Approaching the sharp end of a relentless campaign and with everything to play for. Our rivals will no doubt be praying for us to fall in the home straight two of which play before our tea time televised fixture. Sutton should cruise to victory against lowly Weymouth and Hartlepool will surely put Maidenhead to the sword in the afternoon fixtures. Stockport, meanwhile, who were due to play Dover, have a free weekend. So by kick off time at 5.20 we will know all of their results good or bad and likewise with our crucial fixture against Stockport County now moved to Sunday week we will know what we have to do to keep our distance from the chasing pack. I would like to think the players would steer clear of looking at the results. On both counts it could add to the pressure or put us in the wrong frame of mind in if they were to fall in our favor. We have handled the physiological pressure very well and have come through some very tough games lets hope it continues though not sure I can handle it now we can all see the finishing line in the distance. Bromley will be another stern test. Expecting Boden to return with Waters and as close a starting eleven as we have seen the last few games, injuries and knocks permitting. And maybe, just maybe one or two back from injury fit and chomping at the bit.
Just need that Voodoo magic a few more times please Stefano!

The voodoo is all set for us tomorrow pete f so no worries there.
I think we will have big smiles on our faces at kick off time after draws for Sutton United and Hartlepool. 😉⚽️

TUFC preview Certainly not good weather out there at the moment although looks like it will just be windy this afternoon as opposed to wet. We played well in similar conditions on Monday so just have to deal with it.

I don't have BT Sport myself so will be heading round to the house of a couple of friends (in full compliance with the laws of England!) For a televisual feast. 1500 Exeter Chiefs v Worcester 🏉 on BT Sport 2 via the red button, followed at 1730 by Torquay United v Bromley ⚽️
I am feeling as excited as a 12 year old, but I am glad I am not as I am sure there will be beer involved! 🍺 Hopefully with some solids as well!
Pity about the weather. Ski jacket standing by for the one mile walk to theirs! ☔

Bromley very tough opponents, but we will go into the game with a positive attitude and confidence in our ability rather than fretting about the opposition.
Stockport will be desperate for us not to win. A draw for us would mean Stockport could get in front of us on goal difference by beating Dagenham and us - not easy but doable. If we win, they will know that even if they beat us we would have to slip up against Barnet or Altrincham to let them past us.
Warren and Andrews both limped off on Monday. Hopefully just fatigue and nothing more. We have Boden to add to Monday’s squad. Any chance of Lewis, Cameron, Whitfield or Wright being available?
Need at least one of the three doubtful centre-backs or we would have to reshuffle and unbalance back four and midfield. Would be good to have two of the three fit - one for the bench. I like Warren’s experience, but worry about him lasting ninety minutes.
Andrews also important to give us balance on the left - unless Whitfield were available. Would be nice to have both so Whitfield could replace Andrews when he tires.
Even if Wright not available, we have to perm two from three up front with Boden’s return. Would expect Waters and Boden to start with Kimpioka ready to inject some pace and energy off the bench in the second half.

link / Lewis in for Warren who does not make the subs bench. Not too unhappy with that despite no Warren, Cameron, Whitfield and Wright. Good shape to the 4-4-2. Not bad attacking options off the bench with Kimpioka, Little and Umerah.

Bit frustrating so far. Playing some nice football given the conditions. Very unlucky hitting the post in first few minutes and should have had a nailed on penalty. Bromley haven't created a chance yet. ⚽️
