Much improved second half though the last minute scrambling in our penalty area was agony to watch. The rocket at half time was the difference and we scrape a win. Sets it up nicely for Tuesday night but play if we id first half we will get slaughtered. You have done nothing but moan before, during and after these last six games Pete ! Five wins and one defeat will do for the rest of us i am sure. Please dont change because its bringing us good luck ! |

Deserved 2-1 win but boy ,was that stressful. Agreed. We actually created much more than all four of our recent wins before today. Albeit Weymouth weren’t on their game particularly today apart from a 10 minute spell midway through the first half. Goal (a bloody good one) and assist for Andrews and a lovely set piece goal for Evans from a brilliantly delivered corner. Thinking back to the beginning of the season, we got quite a few late goals which built up our confidence and think things are starting to come better on the pitch, massively helped by Wright of course. |

Made harder work of that than we should have.
Daft penalty to give away.
Created loads of chances in the second half but just lacking that edge of confidence that makes the difference between stumbling to a win and storming to a convincing win.
Danny Wright makes a huge difference and I can see why we felt we could not take him off earlier, even though we would have wanted to.
Need to beat Sutton by two to go above them and top unless Hartlepool beat Notts County.
Halifax on a run and Wrexham now needing to play catch-up to make the playoffs.

Thank goodness Connor recovered from his knee knock as that was his second late winner against Weymouth this season. Great header, just fell for him nicely and was going in all the way.
