I’d take a point now 4-4. Come back is on 4-1 Can i come out from behind the sofa yet? Damaging, very damaging for everyone. Still no goal from open play says it all really.

4-1 FT. Very disappointing but think the starting lineup was all wrong. We actually had four defenders available but only decided to start with three and the set up of the team was all wrong. Poor start which progressively got worse and maybe too open for the players we have got and for the first time beaten by more than one goal this season.
Players kept going and CLE made some good runs and thought Law did ok on his debut but very few positives to take from this and god help us if Whitfield is not back on Saturday.

Gary Johnson is not immune from criticism and he has some serious questions to answer about tonight's selection and performance. That was his team out there tonight. An utter shambles. Umerah, Covolan, Law and Koszela to start on Saturday.

My guess is the team selection and formation was a straw clutching exercise that backfired and has caused more damage to confidence. Until we find a way to threaten defences again this going to be all we can expect.Surprised if we make the play offs or even win many more games. Must prepare myself for more disappointment.

If we don't bring in a couple of decent loan players we are dead in the water.

If we don't bring in a couple of decent loan players we are dead in the water. We cant keep on thinking bringing in even more average players who cant get a game anywhere else is the cure. Pretty apparent they're not out there or are not interested in coming here and why wer'e ending up with young inexperienced kids. The injuries have done the damage and that really has to be looked at hard and addressed but also not adjusting the tactics to suit the players available. Easy to say in hindsight but Gary has tried to maintain that high tempo and sometimes open pressing game with players that are not up to it and last night the players also stopped believing in what they were trying to achieve. Last night that blew up in his face. But what the hell is he meant to do any way now with team that has no threat or ballance particularly up front. With no wide players and no outlet whatsoever it was the same old story and the players stopped believing. We need genuine wingers and if whits is out for longer i expect more struggle and sad endings like last night.

Me, I’m writing this season off and hope we can come back bigger and fitter next season 😀 I think a problem is if we did sneak a promotion through the play-offs we are nowhere good enough for FL2 so it would be straight back down again. On the other side of the coin though is that our club owner, who has no interest at all in the game of football, is coming to the end of his 5 year plan. Without promotion would he stick around and if he didn't where the hell would we be financially? Regrettably I do not have the answers. 😉⚽️
